I germinated a few T. peruvianus seedlings a about a year ago, and had given some to a friend of mine while they where still quite young. I visited him recently and to my surprise he showed me two of them that seem to be dividing and forming multiple heads on them. My best guess is that it has the crested mutation, but i know very little about that. Whats you guys opinion? Hard to tell from the picture. You really have to see the growth point to know for sure, but it looks to me like it's a bit mutated. A lot of my crested seedlings will start cresting and then split into several heads. Then a lot of the time those heads crest again. Only time will tell if it's really a crest. 3... 2... 1... A picture that is in focus would help. Injury can also cause this sort of growth - I have a Loph that had a bad case of rot as a seedling - I cut all the rot away, only about half the plant was left. But to my surprise it survived and has become a nice 3 header. The three new heads burst through the skin of the remnant !! Life is a shit sandwich - the more bread you got, the less shit you eat.

@Bdevall158: Pity you happened to give away that seedling, but you should be able to take a cutting after a few years though Or plant some new seeds. I have a 3 headed pervianus that I hoped was a cristate form, but unfortunately isn't. I still really like it though.
