I understand that this thread is not very popular anymore, but I wanted to share this particularly inspiring TED video I found, and this seems like the perfect place to do it.
http://www.ted.com/talks..._to_end_the_war_on_drugsNadelmann makes wonderful arguments, and he is really able to demonstrate how the nonsensical war on drugs is hurting good people and how it must end. The historical basis of drug use is also pretty interesting.
Fortunately we are making clear progress with marijuana (at least in the US), so hopefully this will open the door for legalizing at least psychedelics for medical and spiritual use in the near future.
