If folks will excuse my humorous comment from Monty Python´s Life of Brian.

Half a century ago I was so pleased when I got kicked out of the Latin class - best day of my school career so I thought - what a fool I was.

Now I am heavily into growing cacti - all of their botanical names are of course in Latin - I do so regret my adolescent wastage of talent - education should never be wasted - I know that now.

With Yuletide coming I have just been (repeatedly) enjoying Enya´s Latin rendition of Adeste, fidelis (O come all ye faithful) - totally knocked over yet again by this amazingly beautiful language. - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=B1bLxrZEy4g
