I Followed
http://psychonautwiki.or...hydroxide_DMT_extraction
Which basically uses sodium hydroxide and Naptha
With 35 gr Mimosa
Since I use less mimosa then the article, I use half proportions of water, sodium hydroxide and Naptha.
First harvest is very small in my opinion.
Isn't it?

That doesn't look right. Recall from memory each step you took.

I can grab just a handful of mimosa and expect no less than 300mg.

Basically mixed 300 ml water + 50 gr sodium hydroxide
Added Mimosa powder 35 gr.
Waited 24 hours
added Naphta 150 ml.
waited 3 days.
took out half amount of naphta and put in freezer 24 hours.
Poured the naphta back to Jar, and this is what is left.

Did you stir/shake/whatever? Or did you just let the naphta sit in there for three days?
Everything is always okay in the end, if it's not, then it's not the end.

I didn't shake.
The tek I followed doesn't mention shaking.
I also didn't evaporate anything.
By the way I know the mimosa is fine, because I use it for Ayahuaska.

hello jivangilad,

i would advise just following a decent tek, cyb's is good.

you need to shake/turn you jar to mix the solvent with the soup, this is how it picks up the Magic.

I hope you didnt throw anything away yet, there be magic in that there soup, someone has already made a unicorn cry today and we dont want anymore of that.

O.K.
I will try to shake the mixture and see how it goes.
Also shaking is mentioned in the Tek, I haven't noticed.

Follow yer tek!

I read a post on shroomery yesterday about a guy claiming not to use accacia confucia because he had tried it and yeilded very little. He then added that he didn't think the acid bath was necessary so he skipped that step.

When I first started in this hobby, I couldn't get over how many responses were just " follow the tek" but now I see why. Too many people want short cuts.
All of my posts are entirely fictional. I am a writer, and as a means to research the life of a fictional character that I'm writing about, I post on the Nexus to get into character. In real life I have no interest or interaction with mind-altering substances.

It surely does.

Once 24 hours have passed the naphtha should then be added into the jar, the lid then needs to be placed back on and the jar needs to be shaken when ever possible.

...just for the record.

1.
Your solvent needs to be intimately mixed with your basified water.

2.
Evaporate at least half of your solvent once you do your pulls.

3.
??? Profit.

My mistake was the I didn't shake the mixture.
I shook it and then repeated the process.
Now I managed to extract a decent amount.

You mean evaporate the Naphta?
Why should I do it?

Usually you would do this to remove excess naptha to enrich your yields after precipitation. Temperature is only 1 factor of solubility. You only want just enough naptha to keep your DMT dissolved at room temperature so you evaporate the extra.
