Where time doesn't exist.

Ever since the first time I smoked DMT, about two months ago, I have been getting these fast, crystal clear flashbacks of dreams that I have seen many years ago and forgotten as time has passed. First it only happened once a week or so, but now it happens many times a day, in random occasions that don't have any connection with the recalled dream such as places, situations, smells or sounds. They hit really hard even they only last a brief second before they vanish. I have absolutely no memory of the flashback after it's gone.
There are some dreams that I have seen through my years that I will never forget and some that I saw frequently as a kid and still see sometimes. But these flashbacks are of dreams that I have no memory whatsoever. These have all been very pleasant experiences of really interesting dreams, too bad that they vanish so quickly. Any advice how could I keep the memory of them with me longer? I have tried to write them down right after the flash but there's always just a memory of some place that I find no words for. Any similar experiences?

I can't really say much about remembering more from the flashes.
But i have had some pretty profound effects on dreaming since i began using spice.
Its made me dream more frequently, more vividly, & recall my dreams in much more detail, as well as made them much more realistic.

We are like a gemini pairing of people on the nexus. : )
Your voice did sound familiar to me in your singing but I'm not sure that we know eachother directly.

I have experienced this phenomenon for many years , long before my one experience with DMT, and then it did continue afterwards.
They are very quick and condensed but do somehow get across an idea of what the dream was as well as the beautiful and weird sensation that you describe; somehow knowing for certain that you are remembering a dream and often that it happened a long time ago.
You may find that the dream flashbacks occur in the presence of colors in your immediate surroundings that match the dream somehow.

I do write them down and did for a while keep a dream journal and put these notes together; and that formed a long list of dream outlines. Reading through them especially including the notes from dream flashbacks does make them occur again! I think this phenomenon will continue for you and the receiving part of your perceptions will process the details of the dreams enough that you will be able to have something to write as notes.

I can definitely relate to this phenomena! Whether it may have to do with taking psychedelics or not, I'm not sure. However, many recent dreams that have been occurring for me are quite synchronized and flashy.. as if it takes you back to a time (real time) to recall an event, person, object etc.

These types of flashbacks are profound, and I could only imagine what they could possibly mean for ourselves, others, the world, and the universe at large. I suppose our own, personal encounters and conclusions will determine the true aspects and outcomes of these kinds of dreams.
'What's going to happen?' 'Something wonderful.'

Skip the manual, now, where's the master switch?

We are interstellar stardust, the re-dox co-factors of existence. Serve the sacred laws of the universe before your time comes to an end. Oh yes, you shall be rewarded.

Dreaming is something that has fascinated me for as long as I can remember. I started reliving some of my more psychedelic dreams that had occurred during early childhood throughout some of my ayahuasca sessions. Dreams have always been very bizarre for me but after working with psychedelics it started to re-awaken them even more profoundly to the point where it became common to experience heavy psychedelic effects every night in the dreams. I suspect that we all go quite deep each night, the issue is mostly awareness of it and bridging the memories back into waking consciousness.

As your dream awareness builds you can train your mind to bring back more and more, kind of like how you do with psychedelics. Some will stick with you the moment you wake up and some might enter later in the day, or even long long after that like you've experienced. Some things that really help are keeping a dream journal, and if you find any of the dreams connect with daily life or seem precognitive write about that to, that day. I can't tell you how many times I'd experience deja vu in daily life, only to run a search through my dream journal and find that I'd dreamed the situation days or even months beforehand. It started to get weirder than I can begin to explain. Other things that help build memory are learning to lucid dream, which builds both dream awareness and recall. It's all intertwined. Meditation helps a lot to, and any energetic practice that builds awareness and gets you in a more right brained state of consciousness. Tryptamines, harmalas, melatonin, and other dream herbs all seem to help a lot as well, especially with careful dedicated use and in the presence of each other.

<Ringworm>hehehe, it's all fun and games till someone loses an "I"

One time i took Ayahuasca via Mimosa and Rue, and had a recall of like 20 different dreams i've had throughout my life, though the recall wasn't detailed in any of the dreams, it was just the general outline of certain scenes. I even managed to type down what i could remember about the dreams. But yeah, i was wondering what this whole dream recall thing was about, guess i'm not alone lol.

I love you people here in nexus! <3
A dream journal is really good idea! Don't know why I don't have one but I really should begin to write the dreams down.
These flashbacks have been continuing and and they come more frequently and are more profound and a little bit can even be recalled later. It's nice to hear that there are people here who are familiar with this kind of happening. And I'm familiar with what Cognitive Heart said about going back in time in a dream, usually settling some unfinished business with a person you once knew or who has passed away.
As these flashbacks happen, they feel just like in the dream state, and they happen mostly when the mind is quiet and without thoughts. This got me thinking if it was possible to learn to control it and fall in a dream state without even going to sleep? Just the idea of it gets my socks rocking.

It's strange how things happening in a dream can influence one's life just as much as something happening in a waking life. Dreams overall are so interesting that I could talk about them all the time. Is here a dream thread on this forum?
