There are two Acacia species, Acacia confusa and A. auriculiformis, in Taiwan. One of their usages is to be made into ukuleles. Years ago, long before I knew DMT, I happened to be given some "Taiwanese Acacia" sets and made a
uke with it. It sings beautifully in the right hands.
Lately I've been thinking, where did those barks goes? Unlike the most exotic woods, a normal tree must reach some size to have higher yield rate and be profitable. The bark of a tree this size is plenty. It is very likely to be sold cheaply or even given free to mushroom grower. They use a
"space bag" filled with saw dust of all kind, and some of it must be AC stem bark. I know there is less DMT in stem bark but imaging the volume you can get!
