Hey everyone,
I'm wondering if anyone can help me. I suffer with rosacea, I also have SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth), in fact it's the SIBO, among other things probably, that majorly causes my rosacea. At the moment, I keep my SIBO in check by eating a paleo diet low in carbohydrates, and I have to be ultra strict about it or the SIBO will get worse and my rosacea worsens dramatically with it, even if it's just a minor dietary slip up, which as a student is making life pretty difficult.
As well as rosacea and SIBO, I get extremely fatigued a lot, to the point that I feel compelled to sleep. I also get regular sinus blockages. Through diet and living as healthily as I can, and getting a lot of exercise, I'm just about managing, but as I say, it's a massive hindrance having to cope with it. I live healthily, but I'm sure that eating more carbohydrates would be much more preferable, but with SIBO, that will only make that and my rosacea worse.
I would appreciate any advice at all to help me with my SIBO and rosacea. I know I can take slow release oregano oil and other slow release antibacterials to help lower the bacteria numbers in my small intestine, but I've done that so many times, it's just frustrating. It takes so long to make my situation better, yet one slip in my food intake and I'm back to square one it seems, there must be a reason my small intestine has this overgrowth. I think my fatigue and other issues all stem from SIBO.
I'm going to brew up some caapi tea this weekend, I plan on starting with 25g, then to slowly work my way up to 100g. I'm hoping its healing properties will help me, although I don't know how effective caapi will be with SIBO. Caapi has helped a lot of people with IBS, which I understand SIBO can sometimes cause, so I'm really hoping it will help me in some way.
Anyway, if anyone has any thoughts on this or has any other ideas for me, I would be very grateful.
