Hey everyone,

I'm wondering if anyone can help me. I suffer with rosacea, I also have SIBO (Small Intestinal Bacterial Overgrowth), in fact it's the SIBO, among other things probably, that majorly causes my rosacea. At the moment, I keep my SIBO in check by eating a paleo diet low in carbohydrates, and I have to be ultra strict about it or the SIBO will get worse and my rosacea worsens dramatically with it, even if it's just a minor dietary slip up, which as a student is making life pretty difficult.

As well as rosacea and SIBO, I get extremely fatigued a lot, to the point that I feel compelled to sleep. I also get regular sinus blockages. Through diet and living as healthily as I can, and getting a lot of exercise, I'm just about managing, but as I say, it's a massive hindrance having to cope with it. I live healthily, but I'm sure that eating more carbohydrates would be much more preferable, but with SIBO, that will only make that and my rosacea worse.

I would appreciate any advice at all to help me with my SIBO and rosacea. I know I can take slow release oregano oil and other slow release antibacterials to help lower the bacteria numbers in my small intestine, but I've done that so many times, it's just frustrating. It takes so long to make my situation better, yet one slip in my food intake and I'm back to square one it seems, there must be a reason my small intestine has this overgrowth. I think my fatigue and other issues all stem from SIBO.

I'm going to brew up some caapi tea this weekend, I plan on starting with 25g, then to slowly work my way up to 100g. I'm hoping its healing properties will help me, although I don't know how effective caapi will be with SIBO. Caapi has helped a lot of people with IBS, which I understand SIBO can sometimes cause, so I'm really hoping it will help me in some way.

Anyway, if anyone has any thoughts on this or has any other ideas for me, I would be very grateful.

Hi Xagan,

to answer your question, I only got immunological imporvement with pharama, heavy harmala and DMT doses. Caapi, or harmalas only did nothing in that respect.

I have been doing Kambo also weekly.

Both I have been doing for past 3 years. I do have great imporvements.

I have IBS, and just last month it got under control, by using fresh wheat grass juice, few times a day.

For IBS I have been on antibiotics for past few years on and off.

Just as an observation, it is not clear to me what is a clinical picture of your situation. Is it self diagnosed? Is it diagnesed by alternative non-mds?

This can two problems, regular mds dont know what to do so they send us home.

Alternatives tells us they can do all, yet after some time we run out of $ and their office in pretty same shape.

And then all the "miraculus" new supllements, healings, whatnot, that we spend $$$$$$ that after all do very little...

As for your diet low carb, sugar is actually good, so i don t feel sorry for you there, no beer or alcohol, i guess...

If I could turn back my life clock, I would change my carrear to something that I could manage with ups and downs of my body, and not having false expectations of perfect health that is arround the corner just if I want it of find it. I think accepting the condition and living with it is a must.

Kambo and Pharma made huge changes in my life, more that I could ever even hoped, but I am not like everybody else, I just had relaps that lasted almost 3 months... I was in bed all the time... but its me...

It is good you start off with caapi, to build up to pharma or aya later on, good luck.

feel free to ask me anything...

best
Jox

Hi Jox, thanks very much for your reply, it was really interesting to hear your take on it, and I'm glad to hear of your improvements. I was diagnosed via an organic acids test, which is pretty conclusive, but yes it was arranged by a functional medicine practitioner, not a proper medical doctor. I totally get what you mean about spending lots of money yet seeing little improvement. I believe there are ups and downs to it if I'm honest. If I could afford to continue with sessions, then I probably would, but right now I'm a student so money's quite tight anyway, but I'm happy to deal with my own health myself.

I'm going to brew up some caapi tea tonight, I'm looking forward to it Smile
