Greetings to all travelers,

As a fellow traveler, I would like to say how happy I am to be in the company of so many like minded people. I started my voyages many years ago, and I'm at the point where I feel I can hopefully exchange ideas and experiences with others that goal of personal growth for myself and the community. I like many other travelers started my exploration of the consciousness with the fruits of the magical mycelium, and through time have dipped my toes into the paradox of the self through many other compounds, but more recently into the more surreal wonders of the formosahuasca(ayahuasca from the acacia confusa) brews. I am lucky enough to be in a place in the world where the ingredients from mother natures garden are just naturally abundant. I hope to contribute to this community in anyway I can.

Formosahuasca is very special to me, as I'm sure it is with many many souls around our world. Through my aya travels, I have found a greater connection to life and the souls I interact with daily. I am here to compare and share my thoughts and experiences with others to hopefully gain more insight to what I have learned. I have don't treat any compound as recreational use(not to say I didn't in my youthRolling eyes ), and I think that has led to the most profound difference in what I receive through my journeys.

I thank everyone, and wish everyone safe and enlightened journeys.

Welcome

I am pretty young still but lately I have also been moving away from recreational use and gravitating towards psychedelic use alone, in a dark room. Like Terrence McKenna said "paying close attention" to every detail as what is revealed is very much real and important to our understanding of the universe.

Congrats! Being alone, in a dark or dimly lit room is a big step. It's removing some of the comfort and reassurance we feel by having friends with us, but I believe it's a much needed step to take to really discover one's self. In my own experience, it stops others from entering or interfering with YOUR/MY journey or path. Not to say you can't have journeys with others, but when finding a friend to journey with, they must understand the purpose of the journey. I've found there's nothing worse than being a million light years away from my body and having someone start verbalizing how high they are, or making other ridiculous comments, vacuuming my journey back at the speed of light and now making it all about them. Silence is golden, haha. Safe journeys!

I feel exactly the same way. I am fortunate enough to have a friend I have known for six years now and we both started on this journey together with near identical goals. Recently I had an experience that left me in tears for hours pondering the incredible beauty of seemingly mundane things around me and going on in my life and without having to tell him anything, he left the room and allowed me to go out and have an out of body journey that still leaves me in awe when I recall parts of it.

While I enjoy tripping alone the best, tripping with this friend has become much more interesting because we have started to be able to have shared visions together that we can actually to some limited degree manipulate. I didn't really believe it was happening at first but we can now do it almost completely on command and reliably that I can't really dismiss it anymore. Its even more interesting to me now as I recently listened to a speech Terrence McKenna gave on shared hallucinations that made me realize even more that this can actually be possible.

Btw I am harping on McKenna a lot mostly because I recently started listening to him and I am blown away by the concentrated information he gives in everything he says.

Nice! TM has a lot of great knowledge that he has shared with the world, but I feel there is so much more. All of our journeys and knowledge we acquire is as special and important as what TM has to offer. He gives insightful antidotes and analysis, which are a great stepping stone into the void of consciousness. I do try to refrain from too much overloading of other people's insights and things like trip reports, or videos on the subject before I journey though. I found I was preempting my experience with details of what I had been focusing on in those mediums. As much as I love TM, I stay far away from his works and others, days before a journey. After though, it's great to tear away the layers with some insight from those before us. The ever calming tone of TM's voice is like a comfort blanket after the storm.
