I've been experimenting with all sorts of methods and different approaches for extracting DMT. Some of the ideas I've had a couple ideas and would like to share them.

My first idea here is, mixing solvents. I'd like to see about maybe a large metal thermos or sealed water bottle, replace the rubber o-ring with teflon tape. Put my bark/base/organic phase in here. Then I could drop some sterile metal bearings in here to aid mixing/pulverizing the plant matter a little more.

Also, has anyone tried using a cold trap to extract dmt? I could probably come up with relatively cheap tek for that. In theory sublimation sounds more effective than precipitation because you don't have to worry about freebase alkaloids being trapped in the solvent.

- it would be neat to develop layman's teks and devices that we could use to SAFELY vac distill our solvents and re-use them later on.

- I'm thinking of a setup that we could say.. use DCM to do a more selective exteract, then replace dcm with naptha to vape the dmt up into the cold finger. We could also design something recursive to collect released dmt vapor that didn't sublimate. Almost like a soxhlet.

Has anyone tried this or has data on it? What other non basic extraction methods have you heard of?

If only I could claim it as my own. Wink

Perhaps one day in the not-so-distant future. It was just the first thing that came to mind when I was reading all of your specifications for the "out of the box" approach you were outlining.

Haha well I'd love one for personal use! Atm I'm just using a basic vacuum distillation for my solvents. But this forum has some pretty smart people, it would be cool to try out new techniques and design home built equipment to perform them.
