Hello Nexus. After a number of months of lurking in the shadows and doing a great deal of research, I have decided that it would be advantageous for me to create an account and contribute to the dialogue regarding DMT.
My story is this: I grew up in an isolated part of the country and was raised fairly conservative. I believed in God like a good Christian boy should, and then I went off to college. In college I started reading a lot of texts that questioned christianity and I became very angry about my upbringing. I became not only an atheist but a "militant atheist." Not only did I not believe in god, but neither could you! (or at least that's how I thought at the time)
Then I started to smoke a little pot. I'd been very anti-drug my whole life, but when I got to college it was impossible for me to be kept from the information that exists--I just couldn't keep on believing that "drugs are bad" and I'd probably be dead in a ditch within a week if I puffed some reefer.
Eventually I went on to growing bud legally (medically) and loved growing as much (or more) than I enjoyed smoking. Through growing I made friends who had access to mushrooms, so I took some of them and eventually dropped acid at a forest gathering and went from atheist to pantheist in about 4 and a half hours.
After that I started listening to A LOT of Terrence McKenna and researching about mushrooms and DMT. I grew my own fungus for awhile and loved it so much (not just the taking, but the growing). So when it came to wanting to try DMT for the first time, I found myself on the Nexus. I researched extraction and succeeded beyond words!
My current interest is in infusion of DMT into ecig juice. I've developed/tweaked a tech that is successful beyond belief! I wanted to go to the shroomery.org (my normal stomping grounds) to discuss the work, but I feel more comfortable at the Nexus. The Shroomery is a bit of a wild group, whereas I like the ethos of the Nexus a bit better, and I feel that I should start shifting my focus from the shroomery to the Nexus.
I would like to end by thanking all of you out there who have already taught me so much! I look forward to further interaction, posting trip reports, and discussion with you all.
