NICE! the one is certainly a penis morph of the Bridgesii... Not sure bout the other, though. It may be too young to tell, but it looks more like a PC San Pedro, to me. Peruvians have longer darker spines - at least on the few I've seen.
Sometimes it's good for a change. Other times it isn't.

Bdevall158: that looks like a non-PC to me.

Sean959: That looks like a slightly etiolated pup of a PC-pachanoi. I'm guessing you're using an online auction site. This can be an easy way to get swindled as a newcomer to Trich's. Also, bridgesii are the easiest to recognize so I would stick to those if you insist on auction sites.

Again, don't despair, PC pachanoi is great grafting stock, keep it and take good care of it. You could graft something nice onto that.

I recommend going through trusted cacti places, such as this one (Check the seeds and plant suppliers sub-forum for more), for pachanoi and peruvianas:

I really wasent trying to get into grafting and williamsii take far to long to grow. So as far as I'm concirned the 5/6 cacti I have are now just common house plants.. I think I'm giving up on cactus and might as well stick to what I know best

Hey your cacti look nice!

People throw the PC label around too much. Your "peruvianus" does look like panchanoi, but there are also such things as short spined Peruvianus. Was it sold as short spined?

I have had some really good results with panchanoi that look identical to your picture I have Bout six of them and they are my favorite panchanoi.

Don't worry about what they say about PC or not. Like I said I have ones just like that that produce potent ritual results.

You can pm me and I can help you have better luck obtaining good cacti especially off auction sites Pleased

Cheers and endjoy your plants.

Yes this seller has long spine and short spine supposed Peruvians for sale and this was one of the short spined species apparently, it does look a little pachanoi though. I honestly don't know

Don't give up!!!

As far as knowing for sure about short-spined peruvianas vs. PC pachanoi, I'm afraid no one will be able to tell you with any degree of certainty. You'll have to grow it out and see for yourself Wink

And about the PC label, like becometheother said, don't worry about it too much. I know from personal experience, "PC" pachanoi are active. Sure it might take a bit more but it still gets you there.

Don't give up!!!

Thanks for the positive vibes friend. Aslong as the cacti I have on the way are actually juuls giants and not some 20" PC pachanoi, I won't give up. As for my pc's.. In a few years when they are big enough I will either make a large batch of tea or use the orange oil tek. Pics will be posted of juuls giants as soon as they arive on a week, thanks again Smile
