Hi can someone please help me identify this Acacia.

I am in Lombok Indonesia.

Unfortunately I did not think to take a pic of the tree itself. Only pic of leaves which I brought home.

However I can describe it.

It looked like a fairly young tree maybe under 8 years old.
Thin straight white coloured trunk with greyish mottled areas (spots) a little smaller than a woman's fist I think. Similar to the one further up this page.

It had no flowers.

When I first saw it I couldn't help but notice it looked like an Australian wattle but very tall. Maybe about 10 metres. So this is more like a Mimosa I am guessing.

I have seen other trees which I am sure are Acacia of a different species. I will be exploring very soon.
I am sure the locals eat the leaves and seeds in place of vegetables when money is scarce.

I would appreciate it if someone could help me identify these leaves.

It may be confusa. Cofusa is the only one I can find that is described as a sickle shaped leaf.

From doing a google search I found this:

https://www.dmt-nexus.me...&m=563335#post563335

You want Acacia floribunda, Acacia auriculiformis, Acacia confusa, Horsfieldia superba, Codariocalyx motorius

DO A GOOGLE IMAGE SEARCH ON THOSE AND THEN LOOK FOR THOSE PLANTS

hope that helps friend

Thanks for that link.

Edit: I have explored this link and confusa is the only one that comes close.

Still not sure.

Also look for acacia simplex - it is probably your best bet if you are in indonesia besides small phillipine acacia - easy to recognize - and high alkaloid content..
