I think all of these special interests lead to special people and hobbies that are aligned with nature. I am wanting to purchase a queen for the spring and start beekeeping this upcoming year. I don't remember where the spark came from to do so, but it's been there for quite some years and in the last few years I've progressed to follow my interests. Last year I actually had a dream about being king bee, lol. There is no such thing, its quite laughable, but I told my partner and close family, they found it quite funny too. Now it's even a nickname, but perhaps it is indicative of my path. So... any others that fancy my interest too? My main desire to bee keep is really to do assist nature, although she can do it all herself, I feel my place on this earth is to help promote balance and healing of our planet, I really feel this my duty, and beekeeping is part of the myriad duties I feel compelled towards. Yes, there's a lot of perks to being a beek, honey is most of the driving factor for many to be into this, but there's so much more, propolis, pollen, wax. And if you like gardeining, I'm sure many here do, your fruit and vegetable harvest double for you and anyone in a few mile radius.

Well, I felt like sharing this here. My partner bought me two books of beekeeping as an annivesary gift; she's so awesome! She knows I plan to put it to good use.
