I have read that while using Mirtazapin/Remeron it will make the use of shrooms or DMT useless as it will prohibit the brain from hallucinating or at least make the trip much weaker.
But, I have also read the total opposite, that it will actually enhance the trip.

So I would like to read some experiences about this subject. Any ideas?
Remember it is a antidepressant but not an SSRI. I think it belongs to the NaSSA group.

I've heard that antidepressants are a big no no when it comes to ayahuasca

I wouldn't try them either with DMT

So my dear Nexians, Wink my question is, what is your experience regarding this subject. Can someone smoke DMT while beeing on mirtazapin or should he/she wait until he/she stops using it?

Remember it is a antidepressant but not an SSRI. I think it belongs to the NaSSA group.

Mirtazapin acts as an antagonist of norepinepherine and 5-HT receptors, so in theory it would make serotonergic psychedelics less effective. It doesn't appear to have appreciable affinity for dopamine receptors, so that may count for something, especially if you're taking LSD.

All the best
