Hi. For my first attempted brew, I was planning to do seperate boils for my B. Caapi and my P. Viridis. I was going to plan on doing a 3x3hr boil for the B. Caapi. Should I do the same with the P. Viridis or is that too long for the admixture? Will it harm it and reduce the DMT?

P.Viridis is traditionally brewed together with the Caapi for 3x3 or much longer.
So no it will not be too long, as long as you don't overcook it.
I cannot tell you if its neccessary to do a full 3x3 to get all alkaloids.
You'll might get all with only 3x2hrs. But i am not sure.

Have you tested the Chacruna? Do you know if its potent?
If you are unsure and its the first time with this material, do 3x3 for both in one go, its not much extra work but efficient.

3x3 hours with both together is the most recommend time. You really don't have to worry about dmt degrading as long as you stir once in a while and keep it from boiling heaviy.

I would cook both together since that means you will have to drink less, and that means it will be easier for your stomach Smile

Thanks guys. I was considering boiling seperate because it is my first time, and I am not sure of the potency. I was going to do 100g of B. Caapi and 100g of P. Viridis for 2 people. I was thinking of famaliarizing with the effects of the Caapi, and then taking half a dose of the viridis, and half a little later if need be. Or do you guys think it better to boil them together and take it that way?

You have more control if you have both separated. Especially when you don't know yet the potency and ratio of the plant material.
I would test the caapi first and see(feel) how potent it is, then adjust the amount of admixture. Just follow your instinct.
But don't spread them too much apart, 15 -20 minutes should be fine, 20 mins longer and the MAOI effect slowly fades away.
If you up the dose later, drink both caapi and admixture.

I see. Thanks Ryusaki! Helpful information! I have changed my mind several times now on how to go about this. I'm considering doing them together and just taking a half of a dose at first, and then half later if necessary. Or going the seperate route and, like you said, save some of the caapi for the later dose. Thanks. I will mull over it some more, but tomorrow morning its a go!
