spice should be enjoyed and not publically be put out there on you tube.... because remember everyone has there own options, and just because one person think it poopy doesn't mean that it is that way for everyone else correct??? but thats SWIM option on the whole you tube thing.

"DMT doesn't even HAVE any myths. Let's keep it that way." Well, except for Mckenna, when he says something to the effect of "DMT is probably the origin of the term mind-blowing" or "you want gnomes" But those are hardly the kind of myths I presume we are talking about.
Anyhow, wanted to say that I appreciate the topic and effort here, especailly about flagging inappropriate tube vids. I also have to say thank you for voicing the concerns about the shipment of the bufo's, that makes me churn inside as well.
I have a utube channel, and I try my best to only post valuable information on DMT. I would never even think of posting a video of anyone actually using, or extracting. The reason I started uploading this sort of material, was because of the wackness ive witnessed. Also, because of the upsurge in new age material. I think people can benefit from taking a hint that there are sources of info out there, that can lead them to the teacher they seek. I think its important, as you may agree, to responsibly represent DMT information, and treat it with the regard and respect it is due. As for youtube content, these days, I think the responsible content outweighs the irresponsible content, nonetheless, the entire situation has me a bit concerned with the growing amount of it. I can only hope the responsible support will shed the sort of light that is intended.

Just thought I'd share this little tidbit; I was on youtube, and someone sent me a video of a spice extraction, it was a good video, but definitely not what I think is appropriate for the general audience of youtube. The video got flagged, and it is no longer up. So I guess that shows that youtube wont allow such content to be available on their site. Good news.

correct SWIM if he is wrong, but he hears very often as stated fact that "DMT is whats released when you die". While SWIM thinks it is a very good THEORY, courtesy of Dr. Rick Strassman, he hears this all the time when people talk about DMT. That is the closest swim can come to DMT myths, a theory stated as fact.

I´m new to this community and so far i think it´s a very nice and educative forum..for me and SWIM. As you will notice, english is not my language. I prefer, spanish.
Anyway...
I think its a good idea to flag the DMT related videos in youtube, i have also flagged the videos that have been linked here and not yet been stopped.
Mostly cos i think it´s not a good idea to propogate this sacrament like it´s coca-cola. We all know what coca-cola does, destroys indigeneous land and sacred water.
The kids nowdays seems to take part of this coca-cola vision. Giving the finger to our teacher plants and with them, the ancient chaman traditions. Yes, kids are kids..some say they are stupid. But i think it´s the goverments and the society that makes them studpid, not the plants. A stupid person, doesn´t know how to behave or the meaning of respect.

Went through and did my duty on these, even posted some comments on some. Clandestine Cowboy could turn his into fine chemistry lessons if he wanted, remove the mimosa hostilis and DMT references, better explain that depending on solvent you might want a different layer, and so on, without specifying it as DMT. It would be more educational if nothing else. As it is it will inform some, lead some here (maybe), turn some off, some will ignore, but then some irresponsible people will see it and think "Oh, it's that easy", and then they will be messing with caustic chemicals because some videos made it look easy as pie. Not saying it's not easy, but the info is freely available if they look.

Making these videos IS NOT BAD. But if you do it, why not take them to a forum like here and post them, keep them off the mass media's radar, they're always looking for fresh sources of chum. Posting to a place like here would teach the video maker new things as people respond and make the video better and more accurate, and his target audience would comprise most all of the viewers - unlike now where he's competing for the entire youtube community's attention, many of whom are college kids looking for a good, easy cheap high. If they so want it, and are willing to learn, so be it - but because we have useful tools, doesn't mean we should hand out the useful tools freely to every average joe without a warning. Guns can be useful, but give a revolver to someone who has no experience with it and hasn't really thought about who he really is or who other people really are, and you got some dangerous risks. I dunno, I see where people could not support the idea of getting these videos down, but it's just risk vs. reward for every party, and the best way just seems hands down to me. McKenna and much else is freely available there, why can't people just be happy hearing it there and then going on a personal quest if so inclined and meeting a new spiritual ally to help them through life, to turn the drudgery into a reason to exist? Do we really need to hand that revolver with no manual, is there a problem with letting them get to a point where they are competent and can use it? We can work together and learn.

I think that the way this community came together really shows the magic behind DMT. It's worth it to keep it safe, we are BEYOND lucky to have it as good as we do right now. All things will change, if the spice teaches nothing else it must be that, continual change, and change can be good, but it can be bad too. I've ever seen a community so tight-knit and caring for their purpose.

Anyway, just how I feel about it!

youtube isn't a good outlet, for the simple fact that it's way too mainstream. there are people out there that will try stupid human tricks while under the influence, and others who only have their minds on money.

It is the stream, good post.

Though it does allow for amazing things like this to be possible.

yeah..it's definitely more imperative to get people aware of their surroundings, and what's really going on. for that, youtube is invaluable
