In South American shamanism (as well as other traditions), there are what are known as "limpias" or "baños florales (floral baths)". From my limited knowledge of this topic, this is a practice of using bathing as a tool for shamanic healing. Generally one bathes with infusions of flowers or other healing plants, and sometimes also colognes like Agua de Florida.

Anyone here knowledgable about this type of thing? Anyone with firsthand experience? I've done some makeshift rituals involving bathing with florida water or Palo Santo cologne, and the result has always been incredibly refreshing, physically, mentally, and spiritually. I'd love to learn more about this topic though.

Also, a more specific question: does anyone have any experience with Ajos Sacha ("false garlic"Pleased? This refers to several plants used in South America in shamanic baths to remove dark energy and bad luck. I will soon acquire some Petiveria alliacea (one of the Ajos Sacha plants, also known as guinea henweed, anamu, etc), and I found instructions on an ethnobotanical website as to how to use it for a bath, but the instructions on the site were for the use of leaves, and I've only been able to find it powdered, so I don't know if the ratios of how much to boil in water might be different.
