Hello.

I've been meditating for 10 years now and experienced ego death a few times while doing it. After I learned about the psychedelic ego death experience, I decided to pick some wild psychoactive mushrooms on my own. So last year I had my first journey into hyperspace, alone in the darkness of my room. I'm in Brazil, so I decided it would be easier than I expected to find ayahuasca. Since then, I had two experiences with the brew. It's been a fruitful learning and growing experience that showed me infinite freedom, eternity and the absolute void. I'll keep exploring the groups and ways of taking ayahuasca I have found: solo sessions, independent shamans, Huni Kuin healers, União do Vegetal, Santo Daime...

Nowadays I'm mostly taken to that place of power by mushrooms and a combination of other elements. Mushrooms are my first and favorite choice for exploration. I haven't taken the vine brew in a while.

I'm very curious about the catimbó and jurema cults, which use mimosa brews, but I never participated in a session.
I like to go into the wild to find the plants/fungi I'll use.

This community in particular has been a guiding light in my experience with entheogens and psychoactive plants. I greet you all with gratitude for the knowledge shared.

STS is a community for people interested in growing, preserving and researching botanical species, particularly those with remarkable therapeutic and/or psychoactive properties.

Welcome!

Thanks for joining as well; having a variety of people in a variety of places, all with different experiences is one of the coolest things about the Nexus, IMO.

Hello. 10 years of meditating. Nice. I wish I had such patience. My longest run was 4 months Sad

Thank you all for the warm welcome. Big grin

DMTheory, that's exactly how I feel about this place as well. I see it as an indicator of a respectful community.

Litwin, it was difficult for me to get into a routine of meditation. Then it happened almost involuntarily, when I started practicing pranayama on my way to school. The bus trip was 1 hour long and by the time I got there, I was in the most relaxed and peaceful mind state. It felt really good. A few weeks into this and I was able sustain another hour of pranayama on the way back. That's how it began. Very happy
