This might have been a good idea for a poll, but because I don't know how to make polls, or quite possibly, I'm not allowed to make one, I'll have to ask this way.

To all of you who have experience with psychedelics or meditation (not just DMT necessarily), how many times eye or eyes were a theme of your trip?

In my experience, seeing them is very common. They look like they're interested in what I'm doing, they have some kind of curious look to them. But it seems like I'm not the only one who experiences this.

Yesterday, very close friend of mine shared a story of his trip on Amanita muscaria. He fell into sleep, had some very strange dreams, one part of that dream was walking through some mystical land, with many eyes being everywhere, and observing him. Suddenly, all of those eyes combined together, and fused into one large eye, with golden light radiating from it.

Alex Grey's art also frequently involves eyes.

What about you, fellow Nexians? How many times are eyes part of your trip?

Thanks in advance.

Peace and love.

Well when I did the 600 mg of Mescaline and went in the isolation tank, I was isolated from all my senses and moved to a plane where I realized that our sensory organs allow us to live on and experience Earth, but aren't technically vital components of our awareness or existence.

On DMT pretty much every entity I met with has had eyes, except for one that I can only compare to the Pokemon Scizor. But I cannot say that the presence of these eyes was special in a certain way. I believe one carny woman was winking at me, possibly trying to seduce me, during one journey..

On mushrooms, LSD, and mescaline I have been caught many times staring at my own eyes in the mirror. I love to look at the pupil dilation, and the color changes (this mainly occurs on shrooms). Eyes are the main sensory organ for many of us, and since psychedelics seem to enhance our existence, many times they involve eyes to a great extent.

Psychedelics is one of the main reasons I learned to truly observe and appreciate eyes. With experiences gone and past, I can say that a few (not all) trips have had frequent 'visions' which were highly present or seen easily through pronounced visual effects. Especially plants and fungi such as cannabis and psilocybin containing mushrooms.

And also contributing to the appeal within historical civilizations of various forms of art and beauty, chanting, so on so forth, it certainly has characteristics within our perception. Especially when you think of us humans using our ability to see clearly for us to hunt, observe, locate, communicate etc. Its in our blood and appeal to perceive and locate eyes externally. With psychedelics its a greater form of inner space, which could easily penetrate what you see/create visually into forms of heightened acuity, ergo seeing eyes and infinitely so.

Yes!!
Love

From what is available for reading about near-death experiences, it does seem like "eyes" are something that continues to exist in etheric realms. People who are met in those experiences do have eyes, that is one simple aspect. There is also the beautiful and life-affirming phenomena from these experiences that people will experience their life through a perspective outside of their body, yet still with very clear vision.

It does seem that other versions of ourselves, or, quite possibly, external versions of the same "ourselves" are outside us throughout our lives, like a school of fish and our body is just one of the fish/a component of this school of fish type of being.

Shocked Smile

this is an excerpt from one of the many astonishing Erowid writings about entheogens and eyes;

Quote:
``I realize everything is spinning in circles around me and I am pulled up through the ceiling into the sky and into another dimension. The whole time this is happening, I am being filled up with an overwhelming feeling of intensity.

I am surrounded by light and for a moment, feel the most intense fear of my life, but it quickly subsides to a feeling of absolute joy. I feel as though I am connected, literally connected and one with a benevolent entity that makes up all of existence. I am the universe, and feel nothing but joy in the form of light.

The entity then changes from light into a shape-shifting tree that I am inside of. Vincent Van Gogh could not have created such a beautiful masterpiece. I see millions of eyeballs, staring at me, occasionally blinking. These eyeballs have veins and arteries pouring out of their backs, essentially a fleshy spider web, and as the fleshy veins/arteries move farther away from the eyeballs, they take on less of a fleshy nature and more of a wooden nature. To put it simply, eyeballs are morphing into tree branches. These tree branches then create a wooden 'spider web' that makes up the walls of the tree that I am inside of. Simultaneously, I see billions upon billions of cells, giving the tree its real shape-shifting effect. They are constantly moving around in a pattern that I cannot understand, and they make up everything that exists. They make up what I am, they make up the eyeballs and they make up the veins and arteries that slowly morph into tree branches. Existing in this tree seems to last an eternity.

I look at myself, and I am not myself. I am made up of white and blue light. I am some sort of orb. This is when I begin to come down. I start floating in a downwards direction, eventually reaching the hole in the roof of D's recreation room. I float through the hole and see my own body, unconscious on the couch, sitting next to B. I blink. ``

I've meditated in a sober state, and have seen glowing eyes wide open that blinked slowly but constantly, in a sort of enticing fashion, some of them remaining static whilst others warped from one place to another.
I've also seen the typical "eye in the pyramid" in channelings, in visual representations unseen before. The state I perceived these things in was neither positive nor negative. Everything felt neutral.

...And I wasn't even tripping. Big grin
