Hello! I am brand new to this forum, and I promise I will post my introduction within the next few days, perhaps even today. But I have a question of utmost importance.

Is there anything potentially dangerous about re-using old, dry Chaliponga leaves? Let's say someone made a brew a month ago, waited for the leaves to dry completely, then bagged them up in a ziplock. Would those leaves still be okay to re-use, assuming there was no visible mold or anything growing on it (obviously!)? I have heard that the leaves often hold far more alkaloids than can be extracted in a single brew.

Thank you so much.

PS: Would doing this kill someone?

It depends how long they where boiled for. The general consensus is though that one long boil 5-10 hours is enough. Boiling after that some people have gotten a little bit out of it but not much, maybe use vinegar to help absorption. If they were only boiled for an hour then it is probably worth reusing.
