After extracting from mhrb with cybs hybrid atb tek my first time, i ended up with just over 1g of white crystals. I used a bit more naphtha than called for because im using a 1/2 gallon mason jar. 50ml is hard to separate because its a very thin layer.
So, after a couple days of evap the solvent left a thin layer of fats & oils that added a bit of yellow tinge to the dmt when scraped.
This is where the yeild gets a bit too high.
I did another 50g extraction, reused solvent, evapped a couple days.
Now after freeze precipitafing this second batch i didnt get crystals. Just a thin layer of yellow powder.
Once scraped up & dried the powder weighed in at 1.56g.
The naphtha hasnt been evapped all the way down to 50ml to be freeze precipped again but im sure theres more dmt in there still.

It seems to me like reusing the solvent gave me more powdery results rather than crystals & has ALOT of fats & other alkaloids to yeild that high & still not be finished.

After the solvent evaps down more im going to freeze precip again & recrystallize both batches together until completely white.

The yeild being that high seems really abnormal. The only difference between this extraction & the first one was an added freeze thaw & longer heated vinegar soak.

All mhrb used was from the same batch & was all powdered together so the alkaloid content of the material used was of evenly distributed potency.

it seems a few folks report similar yields. an LC or GC chromatogram would verify the actual percentages of each component.

I wish i had access or the money to send a sample to be analyzed via chromatography. Id love to know the exact chemical compisition of my spice & any impurities.

id like to put some research in & learn to do tlc plates at home but im not sure id get quite as detailled & accurate results as from a professional lab analysis.
