I`d say that around 1% yield has usually been pretty normal (even when pure enough that for our purposes impurity presence is negligible). That being said, suppliers change, mimosa genetics in different places may vary, etc.

It`s been quite a while since I extracted mimosa but if I`d extract now, 0.1% would leave me probably unsatisfied, starting at around 0.5% I`d be satisfied , and around 1% would make me quite happy. I`d be very surprised if I got 2% but I definitely don`t think it`s impossible.

But regardless of what you expect or not, your plant will have what it has, so just extract and see.

You can also extract from Acacia confusa which seems to have very high yields (mixed with NMT), or also Diplopterys cabrerana which also seems to yield around 1% DMT. Or you can try to find a local Acacia or other DMT containing plants in your area.

I'm very far north, I believe the only "local" dmt containing plant here is phalaris.

Thank you for that link, it will be some interesting reading. I have brilliantly whitr crystals but I'm uncertain of it's purity. Since a MP test is out of the question I may have to separate it with column chromatography and measure out my results.

Another thing I can investigate further is looking at some synthetic DMT reports to see how they're recording their final product and compare my extracted product to see how it measures up to the mean data.

I know DMT doesn't HAVE to be pure as a virgin snow on christmas, I understand I'm loosing, maybe even wasting some product, However I want to do this.

Next summer I plan to do extensive research with various extractions/reagents with wild phalaris extracts, and bring what sucess I can find to the layman a d average user on this site. I feel for me to do this I need to understand DMT's charachteristics a little better to guage my success later down the road.

I consistently get up to 1.5% now. The first couple extracts were just under 1% which I chalk up to my inexperience at the time of course. I think my highest yield so far was 1.8% but about 1.2-1.5% is what I pretty much expect.

What you say fits more into everything I've experienced too. Yields of around 0.5-1%. Most commonly around 0.6-0.7%. I've seen people report up to 2% of fluffy crystals (even on these forums) and I have no idea what they're getting if it's not all DMT. Any idea?

Hard to say what it is when we're not talking about a specific case, but I would imagine that some of it is plant fats/oils that haven't been fully washed out. Or could be DMT.

I thought it would be interesting to ask real people who do real extractions because in the end, they're the only ones who get to see their numbers.

It sounds like inner root bark is where it's at.

Obviously you din't take the time to look Thumbs down
