I feel sad for your loss. Sad

I do believe that animals are great part of cosmic consciousness just like we are. I do believe that she's in bardo and that she's happy there now.

my soul empathizes with you Mr. whippy.

My pets have a powerful effect on my soul. about two years ago I lost my feline companion that my girlfriend and I had adopted and raised. I don't think it ever really leaves you. as it was said before animals are part of the cosmic consciousnesses were connected too.

I find some much comfort in that. when my physical body can no long sustain my spirit, we will all be reunited with the love from our past lives.

Also when my beloved feline passed alot of people didn't understand why I was torn about it, some people have never experienced anything deep with their pets. Try your best to understand and forgive this too. I found a few of my friends to be insensitive to the fact I lost a part of me.

Love and joy will find you again, but embrace the grieving for the healing lies there

I'm very sorry to hear of your loss. I know it's very hard to lose a pet, more accurately a family member of a slightly different species.

I am so sorry for your loss. That is not an easy emotion to endure, the death of a dear friend. I believe animals and us are exactly alike as far as your query goes.
To me humans are just another animal on this planet. And as all animals we have been blessed with one or a few souped up abilities.
For instance:

Hawks, Birds of Prey, have amazing eyesight, they can see things in the dark from great distances that we as humans cannot.
Cheetah's can run 70mph...
The Basilisk can run on water....
Chameleon's change colors..
And some animals actually cause anything that attacks it to have psychedelic experiences...

SO, just because we Humans have huge brains and the ability to question things, question morality, mortality, existence, creation, etc, etc... Doesn't mean, in my opinion, that we are in a class outside the domains of the animal kingdom, our brain was just our souped up ability.

So in this manner of thinking, I believe all animals are equally blessed with the same energy that some call a soul and some call spirit... Whether human, or cat, I do believe that we all end up having the same journey in death.

Every living thing is like a musical instrument. Like a guitar. The guitar is the actually body of the living thing, but the guitarist is it's soul. Every guitarist has their own way of playing, and when they compose or write songs, they all have their own unique brand of sound. So if you think of our bodies, and your cat's body as the instrument, the energy that puppeted your beloved friend around is the same energy that puppets you and I around.

Just because the guitar breaks, or is too old to play, doesn't mean the music stops my friend.

Hang in there man, and I truly feel for you. Losing a pet, for me, is just as hard as a family member or a best friend even a lover, because when it's all said and done, the animals we choose to love as pets, are family, and best friends.

I hope this helps, and I hope you are doing okay...

-H.N.

I will definitely think of Freya in an hour when I head up to the rooftop of my apartment building in Los Angeles and smoke my twilight bowl-) A prayer of sorts will be said, and a cheers, and some words asking those in charge to aid her on her journey home.

You hang in there pal. THe great thing about us humans, we have the gift of memory, and you can let Freya live immortally in your head until you two meet again.

Soon, the pain will pass and the smiles will erupt upon your face from the wonderful memories of "the good ol' days." -)

I'm very sorry you have experienced such trauma. Death often seems unjust and even pointless when it happens. I know it's very difficult at first but will get easier as time goes on. I was devastated when I lost my dog and grieved more than for any person who died, which surprised me when it happened but that's how it goes.

As others have shared, I too have received some solace from the fact that he will always live on in my heart and I can visit with him anytime in my memory.

I am deeply sorry for your misfortune. Sad I do feel all consciousness relates on a level, whether it be mine or a hamsters. You will meet again, though you may not be mr. Whippy.. and she may no longer be a feline. Wink My cat is approaching the age of 15... I am always reminding myself he will be gone soon.
