i always used to get very technical / mechanical closed-eye visuals on MDMA, mostly during the aftermath. bolts being threaded into holes, girders connecting, cogwheels spinning. perhaps not the most interesting stuff but my friend had the same thing, fairly basic mechanical stuff.

anyone else experienced something specific like this? i can understand multiple people seeing vague colors and shapes but something this particular and 'unnatural' to the human body (surely a caveman wouldn't have seen this on MDMA) makes me seriously contemplate its origins.

oh, i also used to get faint reflective glimmers of submerged surfaces in a deep enveloping darkness and a 30-foot black guy with enormous gap teeth overlaid onto a swimming pool rapping gibberish. not my drug of choice but man it sure gets hilarious sometimes.

Wut?
god saved me from drowning
then kicked me to death on the beach

Well I wish I had more to add but my experience with MDMA is sort of limited.

The most vivid CEVs I can recall were like cheetah print, swishing colors from the normal colors of cheetah print to psychedelic colors and almost like the color spaces were a liquid.

On LSD I seem to see a lot of that bolts, cogwheels, etc.

For me personally I've gotten more textural dimensions with closed eye visuals always from mushrooms, lsd and most of all dmt, but mdma has always givin me candyland visuals. Nothing with patterns even with eyes closed, just very sharp colorful edges and always felt pretty happy. I like the other phycs cause they feel "cleaner" to me, not saying mdma itself is not. But for me I prefer something, well, a lil heavier, maybe with a mix of a lil mdma for good measure jus to keep you on the right track.Smile

Recently I had a first time on MDMA. A session at home and with a friend. In the aftermath I did get visuals. They were scenes from WWII germany, a bit confused though somekind of chaotic march of soldiers. When this passed a more clean and intricate play of lines and rainbow colors manifested. Also mandala shapes. Interesting but a little faint visuals, yet they were crystal clear.

First decent dose of MDMA was the strongest visually with cogwheels turning and a lot of things happening on a 3D kind of canvas. Funny that you also mention Cogwheels; the canvas had mostly red and orange colours to it. Mostly red stood out though, in a kind of faint/chalky style. Certainly not very neon. I experienced it very detached as though it was a lifeless hallucination. But very impressive visually non-theless.

On other times I could basically see my friends playing video games. I'm not sure what that was about but there is a very high chance that they where playing video games at that exact time period. This visuals too had a certain quality of colours to it that I have only experienced on MDMA. I can't quite put my finger on it now, I have to see it again to really brandmark it.

I like to vape some spice near the end of a roll now. I do it once every 3 months or so usually at home near bedtime for rest of the family. Reading bedtime stories on the comeup is fun. Chilling with my wife after they pass out talking and massaging always has a positive benefit. She goes to bed and I meditate do some yoga. The visuals then are often influenced there as flashing images, people and situations morphing almost through a filter. It has the unique effect of calming my preflight anxiety before I vape my nightcap and the trip is very colorful. Afterward all desires to re-dose MDMA go away (which I always resist these days due to the depression it can cause for me) and I feel reset into a state that I can take some meletonin and sleep. It can be an awesome entheogen if you apply its effects to your life properly.
Marijuana, LSD, psilocybin, and DMT they all changed the way I see
