Hello Nexus,

I'm terribly awful at introductions, but.. by making a long story short.. I'll do my best to conjure an image of myself for you.

I reside in the Pacific Northwest. I was raised a Thelemite by a wandering musician who traveled city to city with his band. I still practice Thelema today. I think of my upbringing as rather meager and nomadic.. but exciting. I remember my very first Gnostic Mass... it forever changed my life. For me it opened up new channels of my world, my universe. It granted passegeways into other avenues where I came into contact with rainbows of new people, teachers and magickians. They all provided experiences, humbling me towards a wider view of understanding. I became curious about hermetic philosophies and other religions and mysticisms and was lucky enough to encounter others that supported and encouraged me in my search, pushing me into unknown territories.. mentally, physically and spiritually.

I personally feel that I have a decent length of history (to which I'm sure I'll go more at length to describe in the future in a different topic), experimenting or otherwise, dabbling in various hallucinogens, ranging from various mushrooms to peyote and mescaline to LSD(and more) and more importantly(in my opinion).. DMT.

At this point, I believe harnassing certain hallucinogens for practical use for spiritual reasons can render itself a wonderful, useful and educational tool. I personally like to perform ritual and meditate or perform resh before I "journey". I believe it has given a greater sense of not only who I am.. but WHAT I am and where I'm going...

and that is why I'm here.

Welcome to the Nexus!

That was a fine introduction, don`t know why you put yourself down Smile

Did you read any of vovin`s posts? Might be of your interest. For example this thread.

What`s your favourite setting to consume these substances in?

Did you already try oral dmt/ayahuasca?

See you around!

Thank you Endlessness and another thank you for the link! I know what I'm reading tonight!

I've Journeyed in many different settings and personally, I couldn't choose. After I meditate before hand, I'm more concerned on keeping my mind still and focused on a certain goal and/or task. Honestly, I ignore the physical setting.. When I first started to Journey with DMT.. every trip was like I was being pushed and pulled into all different directions! As if something or someone REALLY needed my attention. I had decided being more stern with my meditational exercises could instill a deeper sense of discipline that I would need for these Journeys ahead. More often than not, I'll have some incense burning, usually frank and myrrh on a coal. I definitely prefer to play music, but it's not a must, as well as I think journeying with friends is a great thing.

Admittedly, I have not yet had the pleasure of partaking in some Ayahuasca. I am very interested and I intend on whipping up a batch here in a month or so and I'll definitely make sure to document my brew and share my experience!
