Not worthy of extraction i take at 0.02% i would say its worthy of experimentation.. not if your looking for high tryptamine yields, but it is a tree with very little research done and you might be able to find alkaloids in there at certain times of year..

I would not know where to even start, i guess ill have to look at extraction methods. I know this is not the right place to talk about extraction but if you could point me in the right direction of how to test the tree that would be great. Even if you throw me a PM i would be ever so grateful

Tryptamines found at one time of year THH another. Its in the improving acacia info thread for you to read. As for extraction try cybs ATB (acid to base) with a freeze thaw beforehand (for targetting tryptamines) Or maybe gibrans tek for THH and harmala alkaloids. Big emphasis is put on research especially when it comes to wild species so you have a greater appreciation of what you are engaging with. It will open your eyes.

@UncleDemon - sorry, that's not an Acacia. People can get confused when they see bi-pinnate leaves and seed pods, but you can clearly see from the flowers it's not an acacia. There's a post further back you can refer to on how to ID an acacia using the 3 main properties (leaves/flowers/pods) Throughout recorded time and long before, trees have stood as sentinels, wise yet silent, patiently accumulating their rings while the storms of history have raged around them --The living wisdom of trees, Fred Hageneder

Honestly didn't have a close look at the base but they where very sparse loose tree's, with smooth brown bark. From what I saw everything matches the A.Obtusifloia except the curved phyllodes.
Yea I kinda think this is a A.Obtusifolia Dominate cross with A.Maidenii. Also found a few beautiful and rare Late flowering A.Maidenii. I will wait for them 2 seed and collect only a few. Also observed a bunch of lovely A.Maidenii perched on a mountain cliff top, out of harms way hehehe. So I did a quick burn and it defiantly has a familiar smell/taste. WOOT!

Possibly a.implexa? Is the bark smooth on the older trees too? Implexa seems to vary a huge ammount in shape and structure .

Went searching for firewood in the Snowy Mountains, got pricked by a little fella which warranted further inspection... Zero; The suspected Floribunda, could potentially be mucronata. Definitely interested in hearing other people opinions as I have found another tree sharing the same attributes... goodluck
