For those who don't know: This illness affects up to 5-10% of all men and manifests itself as a constant burning pain in a region of the body where all is holy. It is known to be very detrimental to life quality, as it isn't only painful, but gets worse by sexual activity of any kind. It's obviously a taboo topic, which explains why research has only started in 1995 - the year te US senate was forced to budget for CPPS Research for the first time.

There is currently no medication available that works. Promising medication has proven to be ineffective in recent studies - it's all speculation at this point in time. Etiology is completly unclear.

Over the Counter Pain Killers do not have any effect at all by the way. You can eat as much ASS, Advil as you like....

The current attack i'm experiencing lasts for 2 months now and i know it can last for 6-12 months if i'm unlucky...perhaps even longer. After that, any kind of sexual activity can trigger another episode of month long, debilitating pain.

Does anyone know from personal experience what works ? I currently drink kava every evening, but it is so short lived, even though it provides relief. I will also continue experimentation with Kratom and if all fails, i will get opiates. The constant pain is too stressfull to handle for months on end.

I'm also craving a strong ayahuasca or mushroom session...it is severly overdue...but with this kind of pain, this could end in hell, literally.

Have you tried cannabis in its various forms? Massage therapy might be useful. When I experience tightness or soreness in this area, I make a ball with my fists and gently massage the area in a circular motion until it is faded. It might not even be your pelvic area as that specific area tends to suck up all the pain. Try massaging your upper spine too and get all of the knots out. Certain topical essential oils can help due to anti-inflammatory effects.

This sounds pretty painful. As someone who suffers from cluster headaches I know the kind of anxiety you can get if you have an issue medical science knows next to nothing about! Turmeric is a good natural pain reliever and anti inflammatory. Have you ever tried regulating your diet?

I have thought about Cannabis, but i react pretty strong Anxiety from it..unfortunatly. I do all kinds of self massaging (ok not ALL kinds), but i feel like the most affected muscles are not reachable. I do tend to believe that it is a muscular problem in my case as i do have tense muscles in general. Thanks!

@Redguard
Tumeric is good stuff, i even got some curcumin extract because i'm a believer. Good luck with your Cluster Headaches, I hear it is pretty horrible. Do mushrooms help you?

@bindu

Okay but there still exists the non-psychoactive forms of cannabis which are still anti-inflammatory..have you ever thought of going to a professional massagist? Magnesium is another good option, considering it relaxes the body. Maybe locate some foods that are rich in Mag and other essential minerals.

How do you take turmeric?

I'm very sorry to hear about this, it sounds horrible. Have you thought about Kambo? It's definitely worth researching I think, it's not something to jump straight into but its healing benefits are well documented. I'm attending a Kambo session on Wednesday, I shall post my experience.

Much love to you, I'm sure you'll find an answer. Take care

Smile Hi. In ayurvedic and unani medical systems uttara basti is used to ease/heal/sometimes completely cure (near about 60%) these sensations, pains, swellings, benign enlargement, obstructions and also burnings. Herbal medicated oils are entered (using a syrringe & catheter tube) into the urethra and held in for a while. The medicated oils for woman (fistula...etc) are different from the medicated oils used in men. Perhaps it would help to ask an ayurvedic online practitioner about the oil formula & diet for one's particular problem/dosha condition. Or one could write Robert.

*note Tel/Tail/Taila/Tailam/Thailam/Thaila means oil
