I am puzzled as to why one can smoalk changa with an direct flame contact and be blasted into hyperspace, but when one applies a flame directly to freebase dmt, it pyrolizes/burns and a failed launch is accomplished. What is it about infusing herbs with DMT that allows the molecule to be smoaked like weed, tobacco, or any other herb, and still be active in the brain?

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

By infusing DMT into leaf, you are diffusing the DMT everywhere that the solution can get, which means that most of the DMT is protected by the leaf matter. Some WILL burn if you touch the flame to it, but it's probably just a thin film of DMT on the outside that gets the full flame, so smoking change or enhanced leaf works.

This will be a very rough answer, bear with me.

DMT freebase has a lower melting temperature. It is a somewhat unstable molecule. If you burn it, you destroy the alkaloids. You need to vape it so the alkaloids are not destroyed.

Changa is more stable because the DMT infuses with the more stable herbs. You can smoke it and have the alkaloids enter your body. It has a higher melting temperature. You can smoke it without completely destroying the DMT.

That's probably a very poor answer, someone with more knowledge than me can probably explain it better. But that's all it is.

It doesn't make it "active", it just makes it easier to smoke.

Having the DMT diffused throughout plant carrier material means a gentler and evener heating of the spice than if you just held a flame on some pure crystals.

Hi there.

Picture a pyramid. The top of it caught on fire, and its slowly burning all the way to the ground.

The heat from the flame warms up the parts of the pyramid just below where it is burning, While the tip of the pyramid is on fire. But the temperature underneath the flame is cooler because the flame is not physically on it, it hasnt burnt *yet* but it is getting there, and so getting warmer as the flame moves down.

If you make a pyramid out of your herb in the bowl, and you light the tip of the pyramid ONLY, same thing will apply, i guess.

This has always made the most sense to me personally.

Hope it helps

So, from what many of you have said, the reason why changa works is because only the top part of the herb is burnt and the majority of the herb and actives are efficiently vaporized. Smoalking changa is one of the most popular ways to smoalk dmt on the nexus, but why wouldnt the sandwich method do just as well as smoalking changa? If the spice is vaporized in a similar manner by both smoalking changa and smoalking dmt via the sandwich method, then why bother making changa when you could (ideally) sandwich it between some herbs and get a similar effect? Please correct me if I am wrong, but it appears to me that the mechanics behind the vaporization of dmt in the form of changa is exactly identical to the vaporization of dmt via the sandwich method.

Well once changa is made its way easier to load rather than making a sandwich each time. Also changa generally includes an maoi whether added or part of the blend via an maoi containing herb.

With the sandwich method your not always going to vaporize all that you loaded, with changa this is achieved easier.

Wouldnt you think that loading some premade changa is easier? It doesnt take long to make and is usually made as a gram or more at a time.
