Hello and thank you for anyone taking the time to read this
From my lurkings on this forum to my talks with people I have crossed paths with, I have fallen a tad in love with this community. Never before I have I seen such consistent levels of compassion, reason and understanding from a group of people, and its individuals. It's been an interesting/amazing/devastating journey so far and it feels time I try to give as much back as I can while my learning continues.
I'm not sure if its customary when introducing oneself to give the story so far, so to avoid being self indulgent and possibly making someone cry, I'll save that for another time
But here's a brief summary of where I am now at least.
I'm 23, in my final year studying screenwriting and directing in Cape Town. I also work in the industry when time permits. If you'd asked me a week ago where my journey began I would have started with outdoor trance parties. Ask me today and I'd tell you a more interesting story, but one not for this post
But from my first ingestion of LSD everything changed, a can was opened, and a journey stranger than I could have ever guessed began.
At this point I have done more work in the name of Dimethyltryptamine than any exam or course. I have ordered MHRB and plan to do an extraction in the next few weeks. I am still unsure of my readiness, but have never been more excited for an event in my life so far.
In the meantime I will continue to write, read, meditate, talk, and listen
Thank you for reading my failed attempt at concision. I wish you well on your journey, and day.
