Hello

I wanted to take the time to introduce myself formally to the site. I am a UK based traveler who has had an interest in mind altering substances for a number of years now. Not in the context that I want to "get wasted", though I admit my early introduction to these subjects came through my involvement in the local rave scenes, but for the genuine exploratory and medicinal/self-expansion properties.

I have a much more spiritual outlook on life now and a personal choice to only experiment with natures goodies. Gone are the days of MDMA and the like for me. (Though I take away MANY fond memories!) I have come here as I have been searching for a "grown up" forum, where the discussions are more inclined to be based on the positive benefits of such experiences and their application to benefit the mind soul and body. I have never taken DMT, though it remains one on my bucket list. I have extensively worked with mushrooms salvia and a few lucid dream herbs such as African dream root etc. I am very much looking forward to reading the forums and picking the brains of other travelers!

Hello Purges

My experience with the molecule so far is as follows: I have a friend who I am really close too, she experiences everything and I have fed off her with my outlook in life so I will write her first person story here:

Early into her steps into substances she was offered DMT and being ignorant of what it was at the time and only seeing the crack pipe it was being offered in, she politely declined mistaking it for crack.

she then discovered a book by Rick Strassman "DMT: The Spirit Molecule". The whole thing resonated with me too, and after reading it I was hooked onto exploring hallucinogenics through my friend, not for their ability to F**k her up but for real positive tangible spiritual benefits to her whole being. she was 16 at the time and will disclose that she had a few issues she was carrying around at the time from various negative places, and she had began without realizing it the journey I am on now. So ironically, the substance she turned down still managed to catapult me onto a new path in life. She never came across it again.

She continued through her journey into the illegal rave scene trying first cocaine in very low loses, then taking her first pill (An Acid Star, Ah she will remember that forever!). Her group of friends at the time was huge and for the first time her my life, she was beginning to feel genuinely happy with her life. The first trip she had was not tinged with any worry whatsoever. I know some people get nervous but she dove right in headfirst. It was almost every single weekend after that throughout the summers for about 3 years before she went to University. As sensibility as possible,(She would read about each thing, and try a test does before tried anything) In no particular order she proceeded to work my way through this list:

Various Pills, MDMA, Ket, Speed, Coke, Acid (tabs dots and liquid), Mushrooms (Hawaiian, Ecuadorian, Liberty caps, fly Garrick), Weed, Salvia and a few brief trips into the then legal Meow Meow.

Each substance she experienced gave us new life lessons. Salvia was by far the strongest trip, Pills and MDMA let her let go of all her issues and love everything, Mushrooms gave her total devotion to nature. lsd made her appreciate the little things Pleased Coke gave her confidence while speed gave her focus, and then she reached a point where she began to focus on my body more.

Yoga, healthy eating, meditations. The choice was then to stop what she decided to call the non-nature stuff. She waved goodbye to everything bar plants like Cannabias, Salvia ect and mushrooms. She am much healthier now, in a way better place mentally. She attributes that to her experience with substances, and general good luck at having good friends and safe places. That changed me forever.

I am now at a place where I like to share intelligently through discussion, I know on a base level psychedelics can help people who have had traumatic experiences, and on a spiritual level they are the key I feel to the spiritual realms. I won't bang on too long though. Thanks for the reply.

Hi ShamanicTraveller,

Thank you for signing up Smile

It sounds like you've been through quite a few psychedelic journeys. How has the DMT research been going?

Are you finding a path towards trying it?

Warm Welcome,
wap

She says she is in no rush currently but it remains something she is thinking about more and more. I am a fond believer in learning and studying so have come here to be part of and learn from others experiences too. Her plan is to save the money to visit south America and pay a visit to a recommended shaman. Though she is enjoying learning more and more about extractions, and is watching those going through the process closely.
