did my first extraction today and got brownish paste Thumbs down
very excited to continue learning on this path

naphta is not sold openly in my part of the world - nordic
so will go for lighter fluid
SWIMs region doesn't have the rosonol or the VM&P many teks recommend.
After alot searching SWIM found a lighter fluid that looks like the rosonol but
doesn't have the rosonol name.

I did an evaporation test, and it evaporates very cleanly and rapidly.
Will this lighter fluid work well for STB extraction? (Lazyman or Norman tek)

It says "Petroleum distilate" but not "naphta"

"Petroleum distillate" Is Naphtha, HERE as long as it evaps clean and leaves no residue, then should be fine to use Smile

You should try to dig up an MSDS sheet for your product. This way you would really know what it contains and if there are additives in it.
Everything is always okay in the end, if it's not, then it's not the end.

Ideally one should find the MSDS and do an evap test. I like to err on the side of caution.

MSDS is Material safety data sheet, Almost all chems should have one, the manufacture of the product will supply it, most can be found online, just search " PRODUCT NAME " follows by MSDS. IE ronson lighter fluid MSDS, will take you here http://www.local510.org/...sheets/Ronsonol_MSDS.pdf
