Hello, I am from Ohio, US.
I have been journeying upon my spiritual path for 11 years now. I am a young man, approaching 30 years of age on Earth. I am a yogic practitioner and yoga teacher. I teach at local Yoga studios, recreation centers, and clients' homes. I have a successful career in human services, where I assist people with developmental disabilities get work that they like. My experimentation with practices associated with manifesting the mind lead me into the practice of seated meditation. My seated meditation practice quickly integrated the physical postures of yoga, which strengthened my meditation practice.
And now coming full circle. I am under the guidance of a local shamanic practitioner and have been venturing into the world of the shaman; and my Yoga practice is as solid as ever. I am learning what is it is to have one foot in the non-material world and the other in the material world. It is the same thing as Yoga: be in the world, yet do not be of the world. We are of a higher order.
I look forward to sharing and receiving here.
Namaste!
ॐ Shamanic Yogi ❤

Hi MysticYogi,

I look forward to seeing posts about your experiences. Have you used psychedelics before? In what context? Have you used them with intent to invoke a shamanic experience? Have you tried DMT? Good luck!

that's a comforting statement there. this world is better thanks to you. I don't know what the job is like but I imagine it's a pleasant sound. You go home having recycled some more entropy into order. t's how i imagine it.

Welcome to the nexus, MysticYogi.

I have a disability, so it's always good to see or hear of someone helping disabled persons.
My 1st job interview ever is tomorrow Thumbs up

Enjoy your time at the nexus.

Thank you. Is SWIM used on this forum? I have experience with manifesting the mind. An exploration of ayahuasca journeying is of interest.

Okay; it sounds like you are excited. I see that your e-signature mentions cannabis. Just of curiosity, does cannabis alleviate symptoms that are associated with your diagnosis?

I am thankful to have a learning ground as such. I plan on writing a reflection on the one books that I am currently reading about the way of the Shaman and posting it on here. I plan on much more than that. I have created a Shamanic Practitioner training program for myself and plan on sharing the papers I type up for that on here.

Welcome to the forum! Your meditation skills will be particularly helpful when you partake in the spice. I'm don't practice much meditation myself, it's never been my thing. But I have been heard that it can be used to greatly enhance trips.

No, SWIM is not used here.

I'm sure you will have a good time here.

Yes; my main condition has caused me to have scoliosis and back pain, I find Cannabis helps with my pain.
It also helps me be happy in spite of my loneliness.

Meditation is not your thing? Very happy It is a tool/practice that can be employed by everyone. The practice of meditation enhances the entheogenic experience because a practitioner is already tuned into the oneness of life. The psychedelic experience just brings this oneness experience out to a fuller extent. Meditation, Yoga, or any other mind/body/spirit practice enhances the psychedelic experience. A person gets more out of a psychedelic practice while coupling it with a mind/body/spirit practice. A Yoga / meditation practice and a entheogenic practice are synergetic.

This is part of my dharma to let that be known.

Okay. Yoga and meditation also have the ability to reduce pain as well; and meditation is free.

At some point this idea will need to be dropped as it will prove to be a distraction. Smile
