Heya all,

I thought it'd be awesome to share different music to listen to while we journey - the starter of an awesome thread. Music is a massive part of my life and as a multi-instrumentalist since early ages I just cant escape it.

I've just listened to the sound scapes of one of my favorite composers Herbie Hancock whom some of you may share my appreciation.

Have a light dose lay back, focus inward, let your mind be the visualizer, the layers and textures to music are amazing in their own right. Take a listen to 'Party People' - Herbie Hancock - death wish - original soundtrack. Maybe 'come running to me'....you can just slide between everything. Wonderful stuff music, truly elevates the experiences. Anything with a vintage Rhodes, yeah!!!

Lets start sharing some wonderful music to integrate with.

I actually keep a list of good stuff to listen to while tripping. It's mostly psytrance stuff. I probably wouldn't listen to this stuff when I'm sober. Here's the list I have so far.

Terra Nine
Galaxy
Divine Matrix
Koan
Yggdrasil
Merkaba
CJ Catalizer
Distant System
Kliment
Zymosis
Kaminanda
Ancestral Lullabies
Entheogenic
Sphongle
Banco De Gaia
Hidria Spacefolk
Gobular
Aya Sagrada

I found most of those bands on YouTube, and I'm sure there are many more out there. They have enhanced a few of my trips!
POADS is gone!

On my second to last strong psilocybin experience I listened to Sequentia's Canticles of Ectasy, which is music by the medieval nun and composer Saint Hildegard von Bingen . At the end of the trip, at 5 AM, I listened to this [not this exact live recording, but this is the only one I could find online; apparently she's a homophobe now, but I still like her music, despite her deplorable views].

On my most recent strong psilocybin experience, which was around Christmas, I listened to a Bing Crosby Christmas album and had crazy green and red visions.

I often listen to Ayahuasca icaros from shamans I've worked with whilst I journey. It brings a certain ancient, slow, ayahuasca-y energy to the trip.

In the old days, when I was into Shaivism, I used to listen to this a lot when smoking hash or tripping on mushrooms.

On a recent bad DPT trip, this song by one of my favorite bands helped me keep it together

I have a fairly eclictic taste in music, but on journeys I usually prefer some mellow folksy stuff mixed with psychedelic/progressive rock. here's a few selections Smile

(Psychedelic) folk:

Could not find this particular track on YouTube, but I really love this:
Rose Windows - The Sun Dogs II: Coda

Progressive rock:

Instrumental psychedelic/space rock

Filled with awesome Mckenna soundbites, the ending never fails to send shivers up my spine:

Krautrock:
