Hello Nexians,
I have long been a lurker of the wonderful Entheogenic University, however only tonight have I been spurred on to create an account & officially join this fantastic community. No longer can my mind contain it's infinite curiosity, and I believe this is the only community with the amount of knowledge necessary to quell the desire to learn.
To begin, my experience with psychedelics and the psychedelic experience, while not extensive, is quite thorough. I have experimented with a few different plant teachers, mainly Trichocereus pachanoi & P. cubensis, with minor LSA experiences thrown in, with those being facilitated by the seeds of Morning Glory flowers. I have also experimented with LSD, MDMA, MDA, Cannabis, tobacco, 2C-B, Cocaine, and various pharmaceuticals.
I have long had quite the affinity for the simple molecule that is N,N-Dimethyltryptamine. Just the thought that such a simple ring structure, and two methyl groups, could have such a profound effect on not only the conscious mind, but also the subconscious mind & spirit; it truly leaves me enamored. I chased this elusive little beast for three years before my first attempt at rocketing off into hyperspace, and the best part? It found me. It seemed to me, the harder and harder I looked, the less and less I seemed to find. It wasn't until the night that I took my first steps on the path to the title of 'Chemist', by enrolling into school, roughly three weeks ago, that the molecule revealed itself. I can still remember that indole smell permeating every single olfactory nerve, the raw excitement & also intimidation I felt, when I finally had my first sample.
To put words to the experience, wouldn't quite do it justice. Lifechanging, Universe shattering, delightful, frightful, euphoric, angry, woeful, scary. I could go on and on and on. It seems whatever adjective you choose, applies one way or another. The thing I most appreciate about The Spirit Molecule, is the way that it's like this for almost everyone who attempts to work with it; it seems you can't blast-off & come back with a 'meh' kind of reaction, it just doesn't do it's work in that manner.
I have long been interested in doing my own extraction for alkaloids from ACRB, and FINALLY, I will be able to conduct such an experiment starting within the next few days. I don't think I would even be able to consider the option of home-chemistry, if it weren't for the Nexus & the absolutely massive collection of information. It's quite nice to know that such a large, enlightened, collective of Spirits is so open to helping & further expanding our knowledge of not only DMT, but Life & The Universe as well.
I very much look forward to not only uptaking the knowledge of the great community here, but also being able to share my opinions & research as well. Thank you for providing the community you have here at The Nexus & thank you for allowing a curious little mind to become a part of that community.
