I've taken acacia/syrian rue anahuasca 5 times now. Two of the times I took 5g syrian rue and 20g ACRB. The effects were really intense. It was beautiful and awesome and there were points were I was terrified and extremely uncomfortable. But I can't say that I experienced any visions and the visuals in general were vague.

For my previous anahuasca session, I took 5g syrian rue and 10g ACRB and then 5 hours into the trip I took another 5g syrian rue and 10g ACRB. The overall intensity of 10g ACRB was almost the same as 20g ACRB. The main difference was that the chaotic beginning phase was less uncomfortable and more manageable with only 10g. But I couldn't perceive any difference in the intensity of the visuals.

These three experiences are all in my top 5 most intense psychedelic experiences ever, but the visuals were sort of weak, there were no visions, and I only experienced the weakest example of entity contact, the feeling of a presence, and this was only for a very short period of time. During one session, I did at one point start talking in a very strange voice that seemed so alien that I thought that I might be channeling another being, but there was no overt sense of another entity.

For comparison, I one time took a relatively high dose of HBWR and potentiated it with 3g syrian rue. This was about as strong as any of my strongest anahuasca sessions. In fact, it was more profound. There was definite entity contact with multiple plant spirits, although I could only feel them. And there were intense tactile hallucinations. It felt like the boundaries of my body had expanded and were flowing in a fractal way.

I want to experience stronger visuals, actual visions, and entity contact with anahuasca. Could it just be that I need to take a higher dose? I know that these are already high doses, but I'm a hardhead when it comes to almost all drugs.

Or will a higher dose not help for this? I know that the lessons of oral DMT are a very personal thing. Could it be that that visions and entities will come when it is the right time? Maybe I just have to build more of a relationship with the medicine.

Or could it be that I'm just not going to get much visual effect from anahuasca?

No visions from 5g rue + 20g ACRB? Do you take it at night in darkness?
I get visions using rue as a MAOI but it doesn't even compare to b caapi...I wish I could grow it

Yeah I usually take it at night in near total darkness. The only notable light is my alarm clock.

And my brewing technique should be fine. It's probably overkill to be honest.

I've also taken it outdoors in the woods at night. In many ways, the visuals have been more interesting to me when there's a small amount of light. But they weren't that much different.

If you're still having trouble with this try taking less acacia.

Personally B. Caapi and Chacruna are extremely visual especially at high doses. I've never tried Anahuasca just the traditional brew with maybe a few other plant teachers in it. I would try the B. Caapi/Chacruna mix if your having trouble with the visions.
