Hi, I have a question, I read everywhere that when using pre-powered MHRB in nomans tek you have to use more water. I want to do a 50g extraction in 1L vine bottle, if I use the ratio 1:15:1 it could work I think, but if I use more water then 1l vine bottle wont be big enough.
So my question is, do I really have to use 1,5-2,0x of the water required ?

The reason for using more water with pre-powdered bark is that all of the fine root bark particles make the solution too thick, which prevents the non-polar solvent from separating. You could try it with the amount you want, but be prepared that the solvent you use might not separate out from your basic solution. All you'd have to do to solve that problem is add more water.

1:10 is low end of desirable, and you don't forget it's about suface area contact, so as stated above, with all of the particles removed from each other there is more surface area on each bit, and it will take more water to hydrate each little bit. It's like if I have 3 blocks connected, and then you take them apart. The surface area total to cover increases with each bit removed from the whole.
