Hello wise Nexians,
I've a friend who attends a sort of 5-MEO DMT ceremony. I am told that on occasions they use the toad medicine, synthetic pure 5-MEO DMT, and a third sort of medicine, to which this post alludes.
The third medicine as described by my friend is 99% pure 5-MEO DMT. It is a white to rosy off white color. It smells flowery. And it is a Virola T. extract. He says he has vaporized it around 50 times.
He says "look into this". I say "not possible". (please forgive my absolutism.)
All indications in my time of research -and particularly in posts regarding the subject here- are that pure 5 MEO extractions of virola are unheard of. The difficulties of doing so have been addressed here and elsewhere. I have come across experiments wherin a brown goo was derived from the resin, or the powdered resin was basified for smoking- red stuff: nothing of a pure, whitish extract.
And even as I post this, the flowery smell and color seem in line with a mimosa extract-
As my friend describes the experience, it sounds intense as 5-MEO DMT, though I understand that vaped DMT can take one way out quickly, and personal experience is subjective.

My friend is insistent that this pure 5-MEO can be,and is derived from the virola. This because he was told it is, and the extreme and unique profundity of his experience with the medicine. His conviction is to the point of wishing to acquire virola for..
But my instincts and (barely) educated supposition is that the medicine at issue here was a sort of DMT or 5-MEO other than a 99% pure powder derived from Virola T.
It is because of my friend's conviction that I bring this to the table here. Gee, I do not wish to misinform him, even as I impossibly try to inform him. I don't want to wrongly say that this medicine which has been so important to my friend's path is not what he thinks it is.

So I have read all those threads pertaining to 5-MEO extraction, as have many of you good Nexians. The purpose of this thread is not be redundant. Not, why this cannot, or how it might be done necessarily, but more like, IS IT done. Smile
Forgive the vagueness of my descriptions, as I only try to relate a friend's experience. But my questions to the community here are in the realm of experience: Has anyone heard of, seen, or used such a medicine? That is a white, 99% 5-MEO extracted from virola T.?
Thanks for any clarification that can be offered.

A few years ago I tried freebasing virola to no avail. I got mildly stoned like the feeling you get from smoking a small amount of weed, but as of this year I have tried pure 5-MeO several times, and not even 2mg of the stuff (a couple flakes of powder) can completely blow the roof off as compared with the virola freebase. Apparently the natives tend to scrape off the useful part of the resin before exporting it, so much of the virola that is imported has none of the goodies left. It's theoretically possible that your friend gets some rare virola that has not yet been tampered with, but this is the situation that many of us here have found ourselves in.
