I am in the process of extracting DMT from acacia confusa. This is my 2nd time. 1st was a success! Here is what I did:

Working with 1000 grams shredded Acacia Confusa
3 acid cooks with water @ ph of approx 4, filter each cook, reduced down to approx 2 liters of liquid
filtered again, waited 15 minutes after reducing for cool down, Basify- mix 200 grams of pure lye was set out the night before(this is where I think the problem sits)The lye originally was in small pellets, but sitting out in open air created a slight liquid layer over the pellets. I thought the strength would be fine. Was it? Mixed 2 cups of water to the lye, Added the warm acacia confusa reduced liquid. (liquid was to change from purple to black did not still purple but dark), added Naphtha 400 ml, shook for a couple of minutes, let sit for couple minutes, repeated the shaking 6-7 times.
Naphtha that was to separate did not separating well.
I originally separated (one hr later)thru a seperatory funnel but noticed the naphtha was mostly purple
Naphtha liquid is a dark purple with a very thin clear layer on top. I added 350 ml of more Naphtha, Shook several times and waited to separate for the 2nd draw.
At this point I felt something wrong maybe with the pure lye setting out in the air from the previous night. I added 100 grams of fresh lye from the container and put all liquids back into one container and agitated the whole mixture. Still the separating of the basified liquid and the Naphtha does not look right. You can barely see the layers. Tried to upload photo but unfamiliar to the website.

Please advise!
