Hi,
As someone who grew up with conservative friends and family, attending a good university and college, living in a major city etc., SWIM's exposure and experience with psychedelics has been mostly of his own generation. (As for SWIM's current profession, let's just say he has a medical background.) SWIM's first psychedelic experience was when he was 18, and needless to say it profoundly altered the course of his life. Over the years SWIM has experienced most drugs that people commonly take, but has a a particular affinity for LSD and MDMA (and of course the herb), which he has repeated a (large) number of times, learning far more about reality and the universe than all his years of formal education. As had been the case before his first psychedelic experience with LSD, before SWIM's first DMT trip SWIM spent many months reading, researching, learning; before the spice came to him.
SWIM's first few experiences with DMT were incredible, but being the elusive thing it is by the time he'd tried several small doses he'd used all he could find for a long time, and this sparked SWIM's interest in organic chemistry and DMT extraction. DMT Nexus has been essential in SWIM's learning about extraction chemistry, Ethnobotany and everything else to do with the spice. SWIM lives in Australia and has about 2 years of acacia identification practice under his belt (mostly in NSW and QLD), so SWIM be more than happy to help anyone looking to confirm a specimen they've found. To date SWIM has performed three Acacia extractions - the first, using acacia melanoxylon trunk bark, was completely unsuccessful. The second and third were using the phyllodes of an acacia maidenii x obtusifolia cross (very difficult to distinguish - SWIM will post pictures later), and yielded small amounts of orange powder, tasted like DMT but very little psychological effects. SWIM has heard there's a lot of variation in obtusifolia's phyllode alkaloid concentration though. SWIM also has experience extracting pure LSA from hawaiian baby woodrose seeds. Over the last couple of years SWIM has smoked DMT a number of times, and serendipitously the Australian doof culture also found SWIM during this time.
At this stage, SWIM is looking to perform an extraction on one of the obtusifolia's he has found. Although SWIM is prepared to use tree bark (sustainbly harvested of course), on his travels SWIM has found a number of possible obtusifolia's on the Sunshine Coast, Queensland. Can anyone confirm that this is a possible location? It seems way to far north to SWIM. SWIM would like to have enough DMT to last himself for a long time, and given SWIM's 3 previous unsuccessful extractions (due to inactive material - SWIM has spent 100's of hrs researching everything about the extraction process, to the point where it's obsessional accuracy that SWIM desires) SWIM is very keen to find an active tree. SWIM does not have a mulcher so a variety of obtusifolia with actives in the phyllodes would be ideal to SWIM's situation.
SWIM is hoping for the Nexus to fill in the gaps in his knowledge (mainly with regards to acacia identification and in processing the bark to manageable pieces) to finally push this process towards fruition! And of course SWIM is here to continue dancing the never ending spiral of wisdom and expansion.
Peace, love and health,
