Hello all. I'm submitting my essay via a youtube video. It's not a promotional thing, I'm not going to make any money, I'm not looking for views or any of that... it's just an essay.

My Introduction Essay

BTW, my entheogenic experience consists of mushrooms only (DMT right) beginning in the spring of 2012. Instantly healed me from 5 years of a very serious bout with alcoholism = boredom with "life" and a cultish mormon upbringing combined with a hypocritical career as a pilot in the USAF. None of that is special, trust me. In fact, try not to hold it against me hahaha...

I actually enjoyed this a lot. Its def pretty long and this will turn some people off but I think you did a very good job expressing yourself in a open and honest way. It was well put together with the music and the volume of your voice. You didnt seem to ramble on too much.

You seem to have gotten that message that IMO is one of the most important ones psychedelics can give you. You also sound like you have integrated it well and understand it, which is something I dont think a whole lot of psychedelic users have done. The life changing aspect is so strong but I think some people allow their ego to creep back in, and when it does I think it is often stronger or reinforced. I don't hear this in your voice. Recognizing when your ego is trying to take command when its not needed is important.

Sometimes when I really take a step back and view all this... existence, I get this feeling like i could cry. Its all so amazingly beautiful and before my reset I didnt see things as I now do. We dont know anything, we are just swimming around having this experience. Just live it! I also have the feeling that if I were to die right now I would be ok with it. Not to say that I dont fear death, but I feel like whatever is next is just as amazing as this place is. If not more.

I am glad you found what you needed and good luck on your journey.

Wow thanks for the thought out reply, and thanks for the welcome. I get the impression I've been wasting time in other forums if people here can relate with that kind of perspective.

...and ya, i realize it's a bit long. guess i didnt really expect many to get through much anyway. my thinking is, if something doesnt hook you in the first 20 seconds to listen to the next 2 minutes, which should make you want to listen to the next 20, then it's not magnetic enough and no biggie, no obligation.

thanks tho ya

I listened to the whole thing.

What I liked about it the most was how it seemed more like a one way conversation. It's was comfortable to listen to and your tone went well with the whole thing.

There were sections where the sound was cutting in and out a bit, I wasn't sure if was tripping, if if my headphones were messing with me or if it was actually the video.

Good stuff

Love it! Thanks for sharing, and welcome to the forum! Thumbs up

May I ask what brings you to the DMT Nexus? Are you interested in exploring DMT or other psychedelics in the future, in addition to your mushroom experiences?

1. Thanks for takin the time...

2. A search for like minds. Like so many, I don't know anyone in real life remotely like what ive turned into.

3. yes, i'm interested in the smoke-a-ble variant, but only after I've gotten more of a grip on the fun guys.
