I recently was in Japan, and will be posting another thread about my trip to Kyoto. I am posting these because they are spiritual spaces, and would love to hear some commentary on things that stick out to you, or maybe activities you would love to do in these spaces or compounds, basically just your thoughts on what you're seeing
I might be revisiting Japan with more in depth research on shrines, temples, and churches in Japan. This trip was primarily a study of modern Japanese architecture so these were side trips I made to get some beginning research into my thesis idea.
I might also be adding more to this thread depending on if I find more pictures that I'd like to show

So cool! The bamboo forest gets me flowing into Zen just looking at the picture.
Thanks for sharing!
In the province of the mind what one believes to be true, either is true or becomes true within certain limits. These limits are to be found experimentally and experientially. When so found these limits turn out to be further beliefs to be transcended. In the province of the mind there are no limits. However, in the province of the body there are definite limits not to be transcended.-J.C. Lilly

I've been there. Very cool. Loved the giant old ginkgo tree and the lotus pond. Lots of other neat stuff too.

God, I miss it so much.
