So I was wondering if you ever experienced those kind of dreams that are so intense that you wake up, your heart is racing like crazy, you're sweating and breathing heavily ?

I have these dreams once in a while when something impacting hits me.
For instance I had such a dream when my grandpa passed away a couple of years ago.

The dream goes like this:
I was at home staring in the distance from my window at the second floor of an apartment building when all of a sudden I see my grandpa possessed by fear. Being in a dream the fear ego was manifesting itself in his physical body, his face was beast like, his fingernails were claws and he had a spine like thing in the alien movies. He started climbing up to my window using his claws, gasping and running away from something.
When he reached inside my apartment I tried calming him down but you could not reason with him so I sat him down at a table. Suddenly a womanly divine being appeared holding a magical candle in her hand that was projecting shadows when the light hit things.
She pointed the candle toward my grandpa, told him to calm down and immediately the fear ego projected as a shadow separated from my grandpa and went away. She told us that Death is a normal process and it's nothing to be afraid off so he calmed down even more.
I woke up in a puddle of my own sweat and when I called the hospital (I was out of town and I knew my grandpa was sick) they told me he passed away during that night.

Care to share your "intense dream" experience as well ? Smile

Well, maybe not comparable to psychedelic experiences, but extremely intense and surreal.

I had times i dreamt very intense dreams almost everyday, the ones that stick with you for the entire day, a lot of them i seem not to forget even after years.

Sometimes i kept coming back to the same dreams so much they became lucid on many occasions.

I also remember biting my wife once, and kicking her legs pretty hard on another occasion because i had to defend myself in my dream. Sick

I remember once i dreamt i was on a cemetery, it looked to be in the future, i was walking among huge black shiny tombstones and on every one of them was a display, a big monitor, which played black and white images and videos of the deceased's life, i stopped to look at one grave and saw it was my own.I stood there watching episodes from my own life pass by on the screen.

I had another dream which stuck with me where i crawled out of a huge drainpipe, i seemed to be a soldier, when i crawled out and jumped down i was in a sandy open field, suddenly i was surrounded by what looked to be Taliban fighters, they pointed their AK's at me and shot me, i could feel the impact from the bullets hitting me before i woke up in terror.

When i was on vacation i dreamt a demon or an evil entity was staring at me, when i woke up i quickly looked behind me and could smell sulfur, in my mind a fraction of a second i could see something big and hairy looking at me, it was probably my fantasy, but it was surreal enough to keep me awake for a long time.

I used to fly a lot in my dreams as well, these where the ones that where more or less lucid, i had some control over the dream, but not 100%.

Dreaming became to feel as a second life for me, so much i often questioned myself if certain situations happened in real life or i dreamt it.

I dream less often now, i think the dreams diminished in intensity after i stopped smoking weed, i kinda miss it, but on the other hand they do draw a lot of energy as well.Smile

Oh and welcome by the way, i just noticed this was your first post.

Hey Mayko,

Thanks for sharing!

By the way, sulfur is used to purify stuff (including your body).
Once a year I take a trip to one special place (a sulfur cave) where the level of volatile sulfur is somewhere at around 70-80 cm from the ground up. People go there and do 5-10 minutes sessions where they sit around in the cave.
When I go there I feel my body is set on fire. When I come out I have a lot of energy.
