I'm sooooo excited right now! I inoculated four of my jars of substrate (PF tek recipe) with the spores of Psilocybe Cubensis Amazonian about eight days ago..... I was really really nervous because I heard of so many first cultivations failing around the innoculation point. Those four jars have mycelia spreading like wild fire! Anyone who's done this before, do they look okay? To me they look exactly like what they are supposed to but its my first time so I want to be sure. I inoculated my other four last night and no contam so far so those should be good soon too!

Any way you can get a more clear picture of the mycelium growth? It's hard to tell in the pic, but the growth doesn't look extremely rhizomorphic. That doesn't mean much in the grand scheme-- rhizomorphic mycelial growth is ideal, but not always the norm. If the growth looks fluffy, or cottony, you may want to keep an eye on it.

Good luck, man. Watching my first grow was really exciting.

What kind of sterile procedures are you using?
Sometimes it's good for a change. Other times it isn't.

I started worrying a bit that it might have been cobweb but since this post the growth really took off and the cakes are just about fully colonized! Smile would yoi reccomend waiting for pins to birth them? And would you rather let them fruit as a cake or crumble and case? I'm thinking keeping them as cakes will be better for a first grow.

cobweb is not so common in pfjars. it looks a bit more greysh compared to healthy mycelium which is white. also, cobweb expands FAST and it would cover up those jars in 1 or 2 days - that's a good way to check, since myc colonizes slowly.

after full colonization wait at least 6 days so it consolidates - if you put it in your f.chamber before it will just stall until the mycelium is fully established and so, it will stay a lot of time on open air (+ risk contams).
so, you should birth them one week after it colonizes 100% of your jars. if they pin inside it just birth them, do not wait for them to start pinning. that belongs in the fruiting chamber.

fruit as cakes if these are your first grows,
then move to casings so you'll get a bigger yield.

good luck! Thumbs up
