I will try and keep this short and sweet so as to increase the likelihood of it actually being read; I primarily wanted to say I am happy to finally be a member on this forum and can't wait until I am able to start more broadly contributing to the information contained here.
I have read so many threads on the nexus that I feel very close and familiar to it as a body of knowledge, and have finally deciding to take a less passive form of interaction with it. I feel very in touch with the tone and intentions of this forum and believe I have a lot to offer as I step out of complete anonymity to at long last get involved with the accumulation of information going on here.
The Nexus forum has been an invaluable resource for me, and now that I feel like I have accumulated enough experience and perspective I can begin to share some of what I know and some of what I've seen to hopefully help others as i have been helped along the way.
I value harm reduction and free exchange of information above practically all else, and feel like when it comes to consciousness exploration the idea of learning from other people's mistakes and successes is paramount, as is allowing others to learn from our own mistakes and successes. Answering questions, sharing relevant experiences and discussing new ideas is what I enjoy most about any forum type interaction, and I feel as though showing altruistic compassion to strangers over the internet is good practice for doing the same in person.
I like the idea that the nexus is a network of boot-strap shamans creating a pool of knowledge beyond anything a single person could ever hope to accumulate on their own in a single lifetime, and considering the west has turned its back on entheogenic practices, going it alone is the only way option available, and forums like the nexus are I think the form shamanism has chosen to take for the 21st century.
As I said, I am happy to be here and I look forward to diffusing my knowledge into the collective mind that is the nexus. I'm sure I have some novel neuronal firings to add, (as i'm sure everyone does), and can't wait to make the contribution.
- OTCJ

Good intro. Curious to see your future contributions. "Science without religion is lame. Religion without science is blind" - Albert Einstein
"The Mighty One appears, the horizon shines. Atum appears on the smell of his censing, the Sunshine- god has risen in the sky, the Mansion of the pyramidion is in joy and all its inmates are assembled, a voice calls out within the shrine, shouting reverberates around the Netherworld." - Egyptian Book of the Dead

Welcome and thank you as you have provided me more motivation to become active and involved in a forum such as this.
I feel I have a lot to learn, and in time I am sure I can provide better feedback too. Also, you're absolutely right, the synergy this forum creates is much greater than what a bunch of individuals could possibly hope to accumulate [by themselves].

I too feel that I have a lot to learn. I have already learned alot. I will be preparing for my first brew in the coming weeks. I have acquired the enough Psycho Virdis, Banisteriopsis Caapi, Mimosa Hostilis and Syrian Rue to last me for some time to come. I am recruiting a sitter and renting a cabin for my first Ayahuasca journey. Sometimes a simple analogy is all you need to make things crystal clear. Smile - Akasha224

Yes... this forum is one of a kind. Sounds like you have DMT lesson lined up in the near future, and great to hear you are doing it responsibly. Even though i spend more time reading about DMT that consuming it, nothing comes close to the experience. As my dad says "You can't read a book how to drive a car" Safe travels. Would love to hear the trip report ...and welcome OTCJThroughout recorded time and long before, trees have stood as sentinels, wise yet silent, patiently accumulating their rings while the storms of history have raged around them --The living wisdom of trees, Fred Hageneder
