Yes, I think so. Everyone above me makes really good points, but I have lived with crippling anxiety disorders my whole life, and I'm pretty ready for that to go away. I'd sacrifice a lot if I didn't have to spend my whole life feeling like I was going to flip out and cry all the time.

I would not take it, fear is a part of being a human, if it's removed there will be a large empty gap in the human spectra of emotions. Also if we never had any negative emotions I don't think we would appreciate the positive ones very much. What meaning does joy have to a person who has never felt sadness? What is the meaning of courage if you have no fear?

I imagine I'd be dead in a week.

Fear is actually very rational. There's a big difference between fear and anxiety.

Fear - Rational

Anxiety - Irrational.

If I could take a pill that would eliminate irrational emotions, sure I'd do it. However if I lost all fear I'd probably do crazy things, insult aggressive people hilariously (urine would be involved) and their violent physical warnings would not thwart me because I wouldn't give a shit.

Fear and common sense are actually linked in perfection.

Sometimes fear needs to be overcome and a bad soldier will drink it away whereas a good soldier will stare beyond it and flick the switch.

This pill, albeit hypothetical, seems a little too much like dutch courage.

I'd like to know how much this pill would affect me, I feel like I don't fear very much at all.

I fear IM needles and IV somewhat - but I can't think of anything else I fear.

Sometimes when I smoke cannabis I get The Fear, but sober, I fear almost nothing.

This couldn't and would never happen... BUT...

What you're basically speaking off is an Anti-Anxiety medication. Allthough there is no such medication
that would take all your fears away after 1 time use, some medications defenitely take fears away.

I'm guessing alot of people can relate, because so many of us are pinned down by fear.
Fear of rejection, fear of loneliness, fear of inadequacy, fear of financial troubles,
fear of a violent society, fear of people's deceptiveness...etc
So many of these fears keep us from attaining or even persueing our deepest wishes and desires.
It would be nice if there were fear-reducing drugs, like alcohol reduces fear for instance,
without being addictive or significantly harmfull in use.

Most other anti-anxiety drugs are pharmacuiticals that are often both physicall harmfull & addictive.
None of them work forever after 1 time use, but if I could find a natural/safe anti-anxiety drug I
would defenitely take it regulairly: To battle my social phobia, to battle my fear or rejection, to battle
my fear of commitment.

Are there any natural(easily obtainable) anti-anxiety drugs like I just described?

So youre saying if you werent scared you would walk in front of a car? Prior knowledge/experience of that situation is what stops you from getting ran over.

However you do raise a point in that fear can guide us and motivate us, especially the fear of the consequences of not acting.
It is of course a life preserving mechanism too. It can also be enjoyable, its the basis of adrenaline sports..

Hey SKA, have you tried a nice kava kava tincture or extract? It's the only thing I can think of off the top of my head that fits that criteria in my opinion. Might make you sleepy though, but you could counter the drowsiness with yerba mate which also fits into what you are describing. Maybe also incorporating some adaptogens into your diet might help. I like maca but I guess it makes some people horny.
