I gave my close friend who is in the army some DMT to smoke and here is his what he told me. He closed his eyes and he remembers opening them and seeing a bright light, like when he falls asleep in the back of a army truck and his glasses would fall off while he sleeps and the sun would be so bright in the desert. Well that's where he was, in the back of a truck back in Iraq. He gets out and sees two young Iraq boys playing soccer, and he has no idea who these two boys are, then he notices 3 of his buddies who where killed in combat while he was trying to get to them to back them up, he was not able to make it in time and they were KIA. He talks to them and falls on his knees apologizing over and over to them because he couldn't make it in time to save them.

Them three men he fought in Iraq with tell him its OK, and he feels a weight lifted off his shoulders and they begin to walk with the two boys that were playing soccer around the dessert, then he notices his fourth friend, he was young and died in his arms in combat and again he falls to his knees and apologizes multiple times, the young boy picks him up and hugs him and says it alright and another wait is lifted off his shoulders.

All of a sudden he is sucked in a different area, but its still a desert and he sees seven dark human figures and feels a dark evil feeling. He soon realizes it is the seven men he killed in Iraq and again he falls to his knees and apologizes multiple times, for taking there lives. The seven men whose lives were taken by my friend stay into the dark distance and say to him its OK we except you apology. He was then taken back to his four friends whom he was with in the begging of his trip and noticed them having a picnic in the dessert with the two boys that where playing soccer. The men tell him to come over and as he walks to the picnic they hand him a piece of bread and this part he explained in a lot of detail, of how amazing this bread smelled and tasted he went on and on about how the smell of the bread and the taste was so amazing he just couldn't get into enough detail with human words. He talked with hes friends for a little while longer and then they said its time for you to go back your friends are waiting on you and he felt being sucked back to his body while saying goodby.

My friend came back rubbed his face and told me this is what happened in his trip and he says (I want to punch every therapist Ive every talked to about my PTSD), because all it took was a small amount of DMT to take it all away.

that is beautiful - not surprising at all, unfortunately. the thing going on with our veterans is abominable.

I know we're all different, but it seems like a strange first DMT experience. More like he was in some hyper lucid dream state or something. Very...non-dmt-esq description. Know what I mean? To actually do DMT and have your expereince be somewhere reminiscent of a memory and somewhere he once actually was in this world is very uncommon.

wow. Smoking DMT never ever gives me trips like that. I have to drink oral DMT with harmalas and then I get those kinds of trips.

Beautiful post. I've heard of people having *similar* experiences. Not with the same content, but the same kind-of realness. I have experienced visions that were startlingly alike real world scenes, and not all trippily charged up.

Wow. That almost brought tears to my eyes.

I had dream like visions the first time I drank ayahuasca. At the time, I thought that's what the dmt experience was like. It's only later (when I began to drink larger doses) that I realised that it's nothing like that at all.

Within the domain of PTSD being healed and improved with utilization of entheogens, we are beginning to realize how powerful our minds and hearts really are in these realms. It's incredible stories like these above that discard the old and negative patterns/elements(of which some treatments can be) and opening a whole new vessel of empowerment.

DMT 1 - 0 Psychotherapy

Your friend should direct his punches at government officials instead of therapists. They made it illegal to use such molecules, so therapists can't use them and are stuck with silly theories from Jung, Freud and the likes. ^^
I heard somewhere (a McKenna talk perhaps) that psychotherapy solves problems for about 1/3 of the people, whatever the theory used.

It's frustrating when I hear about trips triumphing over mental hangups where normal procedures failed. It's something we are in dire need of more research into, yet we don't get it as governments consider it too out there. But great for your friend!
