Basically, Lindsay used a drug to help her understand her addiction to drugs? This girl needs help off screen.

Wow, the writing on that article was absolutely dreadful.

But way to go Lindsay, ignore the haters.

Just think if ayahuasca became the new Hollywood fad, with all the stars going to the Amazon and talking about their experiences. Celebrity endorsement would help change the legal status of medicinal aya. We all know how many people were exposed to DMT because of Rogan.

It's happening.

Elle magazine recently published this: http://www.elle.com/beau...h-fitness/ayahuasca-drug

The great thing about this:

"It's not a drug..its this shaman thing all my friends are doing. It's like a juice detox....its the new master cleanse! Makes you more radiant. Not Postsex radiant. Ayahuasca radiant!"

Good things sometimes find their way around.

It's illegal? A Drug?

"Noooo...its this shaman thing...in the jungle...and legal there, so it's ok for me to do!"

Big grin

PS: POSTSEX GLOW ..... barf Sick

edit: Nice conclusion

I’ve since drunk ayahuasca seven times, and frankly I’m baffled that our government bothers to criminalize drugs at all, especially one that can be so astonishingly helpful.

How anyone can be celebrating an endorsement by Lindsay Lohan as anything remotely positive, I really don't understand.

You all realize that she is an object of widespread mockery and universal ridicule, yes? This is kind of on par with a celebrity endorsement from Mayor Rob Ford of Toronto... Or this week's castoff from The Bachelor... Or Honey Boo Boo.... In other words, probably not the optimal vehicle for introducing ayahuasca to the masses.

I'm honestly pretty shocked and appalled by this sentiment. How is this positive? Who is this good for? The notion that DMT/ayahuasca are illegal because of a lack of celebrity endorsement simply does not hold up under scrutiny (hell, they're not even illegal due to a lack of scientific evidence). I honestly don't understand this perspective.

The question becomes: where does Lindsey go from here?

If she somehow manages to get her life in order and seems like a person who has changed for the better, and then attributes *that* to her Aya experience, that could be some positive press.

Just a thought

It would be nice if all of the celebrity-drama-nonsense stayed far from this world. If they use it, and it helps, great. If it works for them, then it worked - just like it did for all the other people who didn't publicly speak about it. To be endorsed by people who are under public scrutiny and have tendencies to venture between the highs and lows..... May not be good. May not be bad, either. I guess we'll see

If i hear the kardashians talking about it, I may decide to take up heavy drinking and driving fast cars in circles for 6 hours on end. Very happy

I wish Lohan the best of luck on her journey.
Sometimes it's good for a change. Other times it isn't.

Well, people are looking up to them, adopting their opinions, imitating them. They are regarded as the cultural elite and what they are doing has massive weight in the mainstream. People feel close to them. Even though they are complete strangers. For instance, everyone is on a first name basis with them by default.

Personally, I don't even know who Lindsay Lohan is. Heard her name before though....

112233 was joking, i wasn't. You might not agree with celebrity and mainstream culture. You might find it apaling, disgusting. Doesn't matter. Its these people and their followers who dominate mass culture, not you.

I see it in the same way. Celebrities are massive meme spreaders (in the Richard Dawkins definition). People will investigate this Aya meme and some will try it. Be it kitchen brewed or taken in the Peruvian Jungle. And they will report their findings to their friends. If they are positive, the message will spread further. Lindsay reported positively, so I'm sure alot of celebrity followers will investigate Aya. Let's hope that these followers have a positive experience as well.

The meme starts to spread already:

That"s a posh way of saying sweating like a post coital pig.

If Lohan"s ayahuasca journeys help her, then fair play. I don"t need her endorsement but some people do. I am just waiting for all the fashion magazines to start advertising chic and stylish vomit buckets for the discerning aya drinker and the agony aunt pages taken over by various gurus coming out of the woodwork.
The new age of "enlightenmnet" is dawning and Elle Decoration, Vogue magazine and Cosmopolitan will help light the way. I just cannot wait.

The specific line snozz quoted was a joke, and a the celebrity endorsement was also a joke, but I'm happy for Lohan and her aya trips. I don't care what vacuous world she may have come from (and I think her role in Machete was quite good). What's the line? There is no bad publicity?

I also think people deserve a second chance, a third chance, a twenty-second chance. To err is human, to forgive...you get the idea.

Aya will always weed out the wheat from the chaff. The smell and taste alone will ensure only seriously inquisitive people will approach. Tell they may puke from both ends, and you'll have more run away scared.

Wasn't there a speech Jim Carry made about DMT sometime ago?

This is already happening. I got a purge bucket by Chanel that is simply to die for! I'm considering getting it bedazzled.

No, people uploaded that video under all sorts of misleading titles. I don't think anyone knows if Jim is actually into psychedelics, but given his behavior it doesn't seem too far fetched I guess Very happy

I would say that where already demonized, widely misunderstood and felonious activities are concerned, any publicity is NOT necessarily good publicity.

I swear to god, the level of rube-like naivete that a lot of our members here exhibit never ceases to shock me.
