I got to thinking, what were to happen to our little furry friends if they were to ingest DMT?
Would it traumatize them or would they interact with their own entities?

Just a passing thought!

Thanks for your thoughts
And I am you and what I see is me.
And do I take you by the hand
And lead you through the land
And help me understand
The best I can.

Good quality Syrian rue (Peganum harmala) for an incredible price!

Go to youtube and type in ayahuasca jaguar or caapi jaguar. You will see a jaguar getting high on aya. Similar but different.

Some people feed aya with DMT to their dogs in the amazon to help with hunting and see in the dark.

I died a mineral, and became a plant. I died a plant and rose an animal. I died an animal and I became human. Then why fear disappearance through death? Next time I shall die, Bring forth wings and feathers like angels; After that, soaring higher than angels-- What you cannot imagine, I shall be that.

I once knew someone who would "hot-box" his rats' cage with DMT vapor. It appeared as though they were experiencing the DMT's effects, due to the fact that their motor skills were impaired for about ten minutes or so and they exhibited the classic "head-twitch response". As far as what they do or don't see when under the DMT's influence, we will never know... Unless of course someone manages to train a rat to speak human languages Razz

All that being said, I do not condone dosing animals with drugs, unless the drugs are necessary to the animal's survival. I don't see it as being any different from dosing an unsuspecting human being without their consent. It has always bothered me when I have seen people blowing pot smoke into their dogs' noses and ears and whatnot. Confused

I am kind of on the fence with how I feel about animal models being used in drug research.

They'd probably realise they were a rat living in a cage with an 'owner', and spend the rest of their lives trying to convince themselves it was just a bad trip.

Thanks for that Entheogenator. I may also say at this point the Nexus stands strictly against consciously drugging animals, particularly if you are not licensed to do so and on the sole ground that you yourself enjoy the effect of said drugs. Condone such actions and you're fast laned out of this forum.

That would be messed up if you drugged a animal. Unless it were to add to scientific knownledge

If you've ever tripped with animals, you'll find they don't need to ingest any psychedelics to be deeply affected by them...in my experience anyway.

Yeah Banco, seems that way doesn't it.

Although the thing that drives my cat the craziest is palo santo. She goes absolutely nuts when I light that incense.

Absolutely. I find the mysterious, seemingly telepathic connection between a person and their animal companions (particularly cats and dogs) to be so fascinating...

I should also mention that I once knew someone whose cat ate about 4-5g P. cubensis (a massive dose for such a small, young animal) off the coffee table once. The cat was never the same again... He was extremely paranoid constantly, and appeared to suffer from hallucinations long after the mushrooms wore off. It was really sad to see. He was clearly suffering. Crying or very sad

Don't dose your animals, people. Stop

Often when i come down from a journey, i go to my bunnies. They are extremely soft and nice to touch and they are very 'down to earth' in a literal way and sortof help me to ground.

But i don´t plan on feeding them any entheogens Pleased Poor bunnies !

Indeed I couldn't agree more, I think dosing an unsuspecting animal with an entheogen without consent is extremely immoral and dangerous as animals react to substances in different ways.

Some substances could not only be harmful but fatal for the creature, specific species will have varying tolerance levels and reactions to various substances. Animals are incredibly sensitive journeying companions and my cat is almost always by my side through my entheogen journeys. He seems to be affected by the entheogen just by being near me during the experience, he also helps to ground me and help me through difficult entheogen journeys.

During one of my cactus experiences he became very wild and incredibly energized almost like he became a little jungle pygmy puma and he was hopping around while shooting rainbows out of his tail.

So please deeply consider your actions before acting on them as the repercussions could be irreversible and life changing. Living beings are precious and extremely fragile so I implore you to think logically and to tread with awareness and respect.

I have no comment about dosing animals with compounds other than "no thanks", however, I too have noticed that If i am under the influence, my animals seem like they see what I see, hear what I hear, and think what I think. I think?

I took LSD the other day and two of our dogs wouldn't look at me with out seeming alarmed. The other two didn't seem to care(I've had them longer and they have experienced me under the influence of these sorts of compounds before), and wanted to play. The two who wanted to play seemed more energetic than normal. The other two seemed concerned, maybe even a bit frightened.

Sometimes it's good for a change. Other times it isn't.
