Hello Friends,

Over the years I have heard whispers of the mysterious chemical, DMT - most notably from interviews with Joe Rogan in which he describes his experience with the “spirit molecule”. I also stumbled across interviews with the archaeologist Graham Hancock and heard his accounts of the ayahuasca experience. I have experienced other psychedelics (mushrooms, salvia, and LSD), but because I live in an under-populated, rural area of the United States, I assumed I would never cross paths with DMT and I put the idea away.

Recently, my sister told me she had found and ordered the ingredients for making ayahuasca and we started exchanging what each of us had heard about the experience. This conversation rekindled my interest in the subject because I was skeptical that one could have a psychedelic experience with ingredients readily available on Amazon.com of all places. My internet search queries nearly always led to this forum and I was always amazed at how readily and efficient information is disseminated on this site. I am also struck by how open and supportive all the members are when they answer questions other people have. I am one semester away from a zoology degree so I can attest to this forum being a sort of “DMT University”. I haven’t seen any of the pettiness and vitriol common to other message boards and forums on the internet – just honest and meaningful discussion and exchange of ideas.

During my studies at my university, I have taken lab courses in organic chemistry. When I read various “teks” for the extraction of DMT from plants I instantly recalled the many extractions I performed in O-Chem lab and the possibility of experiencing DMT suddenly seemed within reach; within reach of my very hands. I became enthralled by reading countless threads in this forum, trying to find the best method for procuring what, to me, is the “holy grail” of psychedelics. Finally, I decided that Acacia confusa would be the best plant, which harbors the elusive spirit molecule.

Thanks to the endless information and insight provided by this forum, I successfully clutched some DMT from the chemical grasp of Acacia confusa. It nearly defied belief that I was looking at crystals of DMT – crystals that I, armed with the knowledge I gained from the members of this forum, had forged with my own hands.

Last night my path crossed with that of the spirit molecule. On my first attempt, I broke through. This would not have been possible without reading threads on this forum and settling on “changa” as my method of administration. Although I meditated and tried to prepare myself for what would transpire, I was completely overwhelmed by the breakthrough. In hindsight, I could have done nothing to prepare myself for what happened - feeling my ego and my perception of “reality” disintegrate. I left, my friends, but I came back. I thank you.

Welcome. I first found this place years ago researching mescaline and the appropriate a/b method which was not so simple to me at first, and like you, couldn't have done it without the enormous fount of knowledge pouring from this fortress, this pagoda.

That makes one Bryan Kent Ward less in the unknown reaches of genius. Delicious imagery.

This really is the most superb forum I have ever had the pleasure of being a part of. No petty bickering. No ridiculous name calling and rampant ignorance. Overall a very great place. Welcome, friend. You have definitely arrived at your destination.

Delicious imagery. I think that's better than Cellar Door.

Welcome, take your shoes off and stay awhile Smile Nice introduction and glad you have found this place in cyber space. Congrats on the breakthrough. If you are up to it, you are reading the post of one person who would like to read a trip report of your breakthrough.
